EX Coupe and Sedan engines are equipped with Hondas variable-valve-timing system called VTEC. For 2001, the VTEC system on EX models has been retuned for improved fuel efficiency. Horsepower is the same as last year at 127 at 6,300 rpm, but torque rises to 114 foot-pounds at 4,800 rpm.
