Hey guys! I recently bought a used 2012 civic si with about 140,000 miles on the odometer. I did my first oil change today and my head is absolutely spinning. The manual says full is 4.4 quarts yet when I put that into the engine, the dipstick is only halfway up too the second dot. I poured the remaining oil from the 5 quart jug into it and now it says full on the dipstick. Is Honda lying to us or is worn in engines require more oil?
The
oil filter must be replaced every time the oil is changed, unless the car's owner's manual recommends otherwise.
