2013 chevy equinox camshaft position sensor location bank 1

Looking for some more help with this issue. I have seen lots of posts on the camshaft position sensors but I have yet to find a picture or diagram showing exactly where theses sensors are located. From my understanding there are 2 sensors (one for intake and one for exhaust) both of them are on the driver side (one in front and one in back) but which one is which? I need to change my intake sensor, can somebody tell me where to find it?? Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

Also looks to me like the intake sensor is located at the left rear of the engine below the high pressure fuel pump. Hope this helps

Okay thank you. So just to clarify the intake is the one at the back of the engine and the exhaust is the one at the front of the engine both on the drivers side correct?

2013 Equinox. Ok to help further. Looking at the engine from the front of the car. Its to the right of the throttle body and fuel pump on the side facing you. The exhaust Position sensor is on the firewall side of the engine. The intake sensor, according to my service manual, shows it has a 3 wire connector with wire colors dark blue, tan, and orange. You could also try googling "2013 equinox intake cam position sensor location" and see a picture of it.

Thank you for the info it helped me out lots and I was able to change the sensor. But unfortunately my car is still stalling so it hasn't fixed the issue. I guess it's time to take it to a garage.

Can't remember if you ever put avscanner on it and read any DTCs?

Yeah I did and I got a code P0011 that came up. I replaced both camshaft actuator solenoids (intake and exhaust) and I replaced the camshaft intake sensor. I erased the code and it hasn't come up again but it's still stalling.

Looks like you fixed the P0011code but maybe have another issue. Try running the DTC codes again to verify none are present or stored.
Just a thought and not sure if this will help but it is possible to have low fuel pressure cause stalling.

Having the same issue on my 13 Equinox. This is the second time this happened the first I had it replaced by the dealership. I dont have times to deal with the dealership and can't afford to be without my car. I see you have replaced yours was this an easy task and any tips for someone doing it them selves.

AMartin0821, were you able to replace intake sensor on 2013 2.4L ? Did you have to remove Bat & Batt box & fuel line to get at it ? Thanks

I had this code go away when I switched back to Dexos for the oil. Just one more thing to try.

Now that seems strange. dexos is an oil specification and many, many different brands and viscosities of oil meet the dexos specification. Not sure how a motor could tell the difference between a dexos and non dexos spec oil.
