I have a 2014 A6 2.0. The other day I noticed the icon for my headlight being out, quickly followed by a good samaritan pointing at my headlight (lol). So I check Amazon for HID replacements (the stock ones are basic tungsten lights which I hate), but I can't tell which bulbs fit the stock adapter. They all seem to have different connection posts. I'd like to see what bulbs you guys recommend. 02-19-2021, 07:56 AMAudiWorld Super User

I ordered some H7 bulbs and went to replace the bulbs...the housing looks nothing like the stock bulbs. Does the bulb detach from the ballast? 02-22-2021, 03:24 PMAudiWorld Super User

No, I don't, and I made a mistake in saying that, however, I purchased halogen bulbs, but I mistakenly took the high beam bulb out, and now I'm about to go back out to figure out how to get to the low beam housing. I haven't found a link yet that shows how to get to the bulbs on my model. I thought this forum would have a sticky of how-to's for things like that, but I haven't found anything. 02-23-2021, 05:29 AMAudiWorld Junior Member Thread Starter

I just don't know enough about the low-spec Audis sold in the USA; we don't see them that often in my area. It surprises me a bit that a car at that price point would have halogen headlights. However, bulb replacement guides do show the H7 bulb on the 2014 A6. If you are seeing a ballast, you have HID headlights. Those bulbs are significantly more expensive. Can you refer back to the car's window sticker for more info? 02-27-2021, 05:03 AMAudiWorld Junior Member Thread Starter

In the meantime could you tell me where to find the bulb replacement guides that you're referring to? 03-01-2021, 05:24 AMAudiWorld Super User
