Is Song of Ice and Fire worth reading? The Story so Far
Seven books covering five main volumes of a Song of Ice and Fire have been released so far. Books three and five have been split into two parts, with the other entries covering more than 800 pages each. They are a meaty read but well worth it.
Will A Dream of Spring ever be released? The bad news is that, at the current rate, A Dream of Spring won't be released until 2065.
Is Song of Ice and Fire completed? The fifth and most recent volume of the series, A Dance with Dragons, was published in 2011, six years after the publication of the preceding book, A Feast for Crows. He is currently writing the sixth novel, The Winds of Winter. A seventh novel, A Dream of Spring, is planned.
WHY A Song of Ice and Fire is good?Another thing that makes “A Song of Ice of Fire” so loved is its realism. Laden with dragons, knights, and magic, it clearly falls into the fantasy genre, a genre that many find at least somewhat familiar, and enjoy because of its clear separation from the real history.
