In Ark: Survival Evolved, the concept of Game Persistence applies. This means that on the player servers, the in-game world always changes, even if there are no players online. Show Your character, everything you built, and your Pets, stay in-game even when you leave. While the food and water consumption of all player characters freezes when they log off, the food and water consumption of tamed dinosaurs does not, which means they can starve while you're offline. You can physically move your character and items between the network of ARK's by accessing the Obelisks and uploading (or downloading) your data to the cross-ark. This means there exists a cluster of ARKs, each slightly different than the previous, which are always online and change persistently. External links

What happens when you leave a server in Ark?You'll drop to the ground wherever you are, which can be dangerous if you're riding a dino or in the middle of nowhere. If the server is up 24/7, this means that other players can kill/trap you, as well as other dinosaurs, or you could succumb to the elements (Freezing, starvation, thirst, heat) and die.
Can you log off while taming in Ark?yup you can, as long as it has enough food and does not get attacked and killed or wakes up.
Do Ark servers get wiped? To help bring newbies aboard, the game features beginner servers with lower difficulty and various limits, but to keep them ship-shape for their purpose, Studio Wildcard routinely wipes them clean. And, if you're playing on them or thinking of getting into Ark, it's worth knowing when these wipes will happen.
