Have tile floors, have multiple dogs and one cat. Caretaker for alzheimers, parkinsons person who drools. This little machine is a wonder. My tile just shines. I do generally vacuum first although this does also pick up any left over debris. Cleans up easily and I tend to empty it every time i use it. Winner Winner I may purchase a back up as I would not want to be without this.

NOT SO GREAT
Has trouble vacuuming up particles like small dog kibble. Also, the dirt tank is a mess to empty. You have to put your hand in it and pull any hair out. By the time I clean it and clean and dry the tanks and filter, I could sponge mop 3 floors in the same time.Its a great concept but needs improvement.

Crosswave multi surface
Excellent little vacuum!! Cleans the floor and vacuums! I have four cats and this vacuum picks everything up while its washing the floor. Easy to add water and dump dirty water.

This is a piece if junk!
It makes a lot of noise and its very complicated to clean. Dont waste your money like I did. I made the mistake of opening the box after 30 days I couldnt return it and I ended donating it to Good Will.

Can you use the Bissell CrossWave as just a vacuum?

If you decide to use the Bissell Crosswave as a vacuum, the only requirements are plugging in the unit and choosing a floor type. The rest of the work, aside from actually pushing the Crosswave, is controlled by the vacuum.

Is there anything comparable to the Bissell CrossWave?

However, if mobility is more important you may want to consider the Hoover Floormate Cordless version. The Bissell Crosswave is able to clean both hard surfaces and area rugs, whereas the Hoover Floormate is only for hard surfaces. The Hoover Floormate is cheaper than the Crosswave.

Does Bissell CrossWave clean better than a mop?

Stuck On Dirt – As I said, I think the Bissell Crosswave 1785 mop actually picks up and cleans better than my steam mop. The only exception is for really stuck on dirt or spills. For example, after my kids eat waffles with syrup for breakfast.

How effective is the Bissell CrossWave?

The CrossWave easily slides over litter without throwing out even a single particle. I have yet to find another machine that does this so well. In my 1,000-square-foot apartment, the battery always lasts. As the vacuum glides over hard surfaces, spills and loose grime pick up with ease.
