Lakefront homes for sale on the Butler Chain of Lakes. These lakefront homes for sale should all be located on the Butler Chain of Lakes. There are many lakes in the Windermere, Winter Garden and Dr. Phillips areas but there is only 1 Butler Chain. Get ready to bust out that checkbook but a premium home for sale on "the chain" is absolutely worth it.

Lake Butler Will include Wauseon Bay. The largest of the chain of lakes especially when you include Wauseon Bay. Lake Butler has approximately 1,580 acres of surface area and Wauseon bay has around 120 for a total of 1,700 or almost 3 square miles. There are a lot of lakefront homes on Lake Butler. So many I divided the the lake up into sections. This also allows to plan commuting.

Lake Blanche is a fairly small lake having just 122 surface acres or a little more than twice the size of Lake Palmer aka Lake Isleworth. It has the greatest mean depth of any lake in the Butler chain at 27 feet. That is deep for any of these local lakes. As my dad used to say. 27 feet isn't very far, but it is real deep. If you have ever swam across a lake you know what I mean.

Some of the numbers that matter about lake Blanche. Namely how much does a lakefront home cost there? How much have similar homes sold for in the last year? How does the cost of a lakefront home on Lake Blanche compare to the prices on other local lakes?

Let's take a closer look at Lake Chase and then the lakefront homes there. Lake Chase has a surface area of 142 acres. That is pretty small. A square mile is 640 acres. It is about 4,500 feet from its' furthest Northern to its' furthest Southern points. Which means it is narrow. Lake Chase is just 2,600 feet wide measuring true East to West to its' furthest points. However that is far enough to alleviate most privacy concerns. Its' mean depth is 21 feet which is rather is deep for local lakes. Lake Blanche has the greatest mean depth of any lakes in the Butler Chain of Lakes coming in at 27 feet.

The sales history of lakefront homes on Lake Chase is rather staggering to the average person........

Lake Down is 1.75 miles from its' furthest North point to its' furthest Southern and a little under 2 miles from its' furthest West to Furthest East points (running true West to East and not point to point). The surface area of Lake Down is 886 acres. A square mile is 640 acres so more than 1 1/3 square miles of surface area. With a mean depth of 20 feet which is one of the deepest lakes on the Butler Chain. Lake Down is a really awesome lake. More than enough lake to ski or race around on a  jet ski while others fish. Or watch all of that from your lakefront home's pool or back yard !

(Palmer)-Lake Isleworth is a very small lake of approximately 56 acres and a maximum depth in the 20 ft range. It connects Lake Louise to it's North, to Lakes Tibet and Chase to it's South through channels. No bridges to pass under just power lines as you take your boat to Lake Tibet. Access comes through owning one of the less than 20 homes on Lake Palmer or by paying a fee to use the boat ramp at Keenes Park.

Lake Louise has 29 lakefront homes/lots. The most expensive one sold for $8,815,000 back in March 2006. The least expensive home sold for $800,000 July 2010.One other home sold in December 2012 for under $1,000,000. All other homes sold that are still on record in the Multiple Listing Service sold for over $1,000,000. Sixty percent of the lakefront homes sold on Lake Louise have sold for over $2,000,000. 

Lake Sheen and Pocket Lake are combined due to size and homes available on them. Lake Sheen has 45 Lakefront homes and 1 lot on it's Eastern Shore. 35 on its Western shoreline and 11 on its' Northwestern shore. That is a total of 91'ish homes and lots. I say that because the way some lots are surveyed. I do not think they should be called lakefront. But I do not make those rules.

The Lakefront homes in Lake Tibet are in in 2 Cities. Orlando claims Lake Tibet starting at the Northernmost channel from Lake Chase to Lake Tibet running Southeast all the way around the Eastern side. Then around the Southernmost tip to the undeveloped land on the Southwest side. The undeveloped land is actually owned by the South Florida Water management District. They own the land from the West end of Trout Road in Orlando until you reach Grosvenor Shore Dr in Keene's Pointe which is of course Windermere.

If by chance you do not know what the Butler Chain of Lakes is. It's a semi secret location in Windermere Florida or some my say greater Orlando. The chain of lakes contain a beautiful group of homes as seen in various videos and slideshows on this site which show some of the best lakes and lakefront homes to live in period. You can compare them to anywhere in the United States. The Butler Chain of Lakes consists of Lake Butler-Lake Down-Lake Tibet-Lake Sheen-Lake Louise-Pocket Lake-Lake Chase-Lake Blanche-Wauseon Bay (between Butler and Down)-Lake Isleworth and Little Fish Lake. Simply the best lakefront and lake view properties in Florida. There are other lakes here. Just not on The Butler Chain of Lakes.
