The one I pullled was a 6x12 and as long as your hitch height is good it pulls fine. I added timbren bags to keep the squat to a minimum. I too have 3:55 gears.

I wish i had had a dump trialer for the few tons of earth i pulled home over the last few days.... It was not fun unloading a few tons at a time off of a conventional trailer.....

Coley 909 , do have regular ball mount or weight- distribution hitch ? You should be fine with the stock setup. Take your trailer to the tire shop and have them balance all 5 tires. I had a 5x10 landscape trailer that shook the tow vehicle something crazy until I balanced the tires.
Remember if you go
over the road for long distances you may want to keep the speeds down. That trailer loaded WILL steer your truck around on the highway. Had this done while towing with the F-350 diesel and it isn't funny. I had 2 cord of unseasoned firewood, probably close to 8K plus the 2700 trailer weight.
