Can i use an aluminum pan on the stove

I’ve done this, and my experience is that the aluminum gets kinda brittle at even moderate temperatures, especially after cooling and heating back and forth. The problem is that there are spots that get insanely hot right under the flame and spots that don’t get that warm away from it.

It’ll be food safe, but I can’t recommend it.
