Not so instant tent

The tent is not so easy to put up. Two people needed. The tent came with one of the poles disconnected at the top. I could not get it to connect without taking the door rainfly pole out and now can't get that back in it's pocket. It has 2 round connectors on top and that seems to be why I needed a second person to help set up the tent. Once up it is a decent tent and I like that I can stand up in it. (I am 5'7") we had a queen size mattress and a sleeping cot and had ample room for our clothing bags. It was fairly windy and the tent held fine. It only rained lightly and had no leaks. The bathtub floor is tall and I tripped over it numerous times getting in and out, I know it is so rain water doesn't get in, but it is a trip hazard. I wish I would have spent an extra $25 for a tent that is really instant set up. Or just bought the tent connection for my ez up. It was easier to take down and roll up. I left the top center pole connected and rolled it up not super tight and it fits easily in the tent bag with room for my hammer extra stakes and a ground tarp. I did remove the year off label to expand the bag for these to fit. It is lightweight but we stayed warm in it. It was windy and cold outside but comfy inside. The small gear pouches are handy and the top does not have a gear net but that would take up head room so I can deal with that. I will probably sell it and get a different tent, one that is really instant or get a motorhome.Read full review
