Etude house soon jung 2x barrier intensive cream reddit

Literally the best moisturizer ever. I have oily dehydrated skin- not afraid of looking a lil shiny so I love this product. I’m on Tretinoin and this product saves me. Recommend for all skin types especially acne and sensitive :)

Sadly I didn't get along with it :( I wanted to love it so bad but I'm pretty sure it broke me out and it was one of those moisturizers where it made me look greasy within a couple of hours but my skin would feel tight and unmoisturized underneath even with lots of hydration under it? I do love their sleeping mask though and I'm about to give the emulsion a go. I have similar skin to yours by the sound of it and I wish it had worked for me because I love the formula on paper, but alas.

i also broke out but it was otherwise sooo amazing

Oh wow that’s so weird! My skin is oily but can feel tight since I have dehydrated skin due to a damaged skin barrier. I experienced the opposite- with this my skin finally feels genuinely moisturized (better occlusive ingredients) and I don’t mind looking a little greasy haha. I was using Cerave PM for over a year and although my skin visibly looked moisturized I would wake up with a super oily face and I’m pretty sure it’s bc it wasn’t moisturizing my skin enough so in turn i produced more oil. Using this cream i still have a pretty oily face in the morning but def not like before.

My skin didn't like this either, I'm combo/oily and felt this made me look greasy and was too heavy. Maybe the shea butter?

level 2

Yup I had a REALLY bad reaction to this product. I use other Soon Jung products and those are fine on my skin

Love this moisturizer!! I use it on my dry cheeks, they've never been more ~chok chok~

I used this moisturizer to help repair my skin barrier when I overdid it with exfoliation and retinol! Absolutely adore it

I want to get this together with the hydro barrier cream. Hydro barrier on mornings, 2x barrier at night. I can't wait for payday.

level 1

Agreed, my HG cream, I can’t use any other cream now

level 1

I'm in the exact same position as you! Tretinoin + this cream is my life.

level 2

Me too! I was using the First Aid Beauty ultra repair to try and combat the tret dryness, I switched to this and it’s 1000% better.

I’m on Tret as well and love this stuff. But the packaging annoys the crap out of me. 9 times out of 10, I try to squeeze it without twisting the cap open. Minor annoyance but otherwise, it’s great.

Just purchased this yesterday, cant wait to try it!!

level 1

Thank you so much! I’m also on tret with oily skin and I was debating whether to get this or not but I guess I’m finally going to hit order!

level 2

It’s so hydrating and leaves a nice glow!

level 1

Do you use in the morning or at night with tret?

level 2

I use it at night! I don’t moisturize in the morning bc my sunscreen is already enough

level 1

Agreed! I have really sensitive skin and recently bought it after loads of recs. No dryness in sight, although their toner from the same line has a burning feeling on me :(.

Any experiences with either? Maybe someone has tried both?

My skin is dry and CC- and milia-prone. I have a great skincare routine, but those comedones and milia refuse to go away. So now I’m looking into silicone-free moisturizers (with low comedogenic ratings).

Unsure between these two. They’re both pretty expensive and have similar ingredients, both get positive reviews for the most part. Intensive cream contains shea butter, which is a bit worrying, although I’m not sure if my skin would be ok with it or not.
