They offer a substantial discount for using the snapshot app. It
seems to insist that any phone use is hands on.( I use hands free). It calls this distracted driving and gave me a low grade. C- along with approximately a $100 monthly rate increase. They then assume I will make payments taking my 6 month cost from $975 to $2400. I don’t think so. I’m shopping now, probably Geico at $1400 or back to USAA. Great lower rates, sure. Don't do their snapshot though. It got told I'm a bad driver because I don't hit deer/other wild
animals, kids that run in the street, j walking adults that don't look before crossing, cars that pull out in front of me, bicycles that pull out in front of me, or run fast changing red/yellow lights. Requested a quote. They claimed they used a private reporting agency named clue that said I was in an accident that was my fault. I got proof via BMV report and through previous insurance company that I was not
responsible. They refused to look at it and told me i had to go through a 6 week investigation process with Clue to proceed so i ended up stuck using my previous provided which despite being more expensive, is obviously more intelligent. I changed to Progressive auto and homeowners insurance for their low rates. After 1 month, they sent me a notice that I owed $155 additional for homeowners because my roof shingles were architectural instead of composite. My auto insurance premiums went up 25% after 6 months, with no claims/tickets. My homeowners premium went up 60% after the first year

money! We were Diamond customers and last month we saw our policy go up by $50 a month! For what reason? i called and asked and they didnt give me an answer and said they could only give us a discount of $5 off per month... What a freaking joke! They pull the scam a lot of insurance companies do by raising your rate over 15% after 6 months! No accidents or moving violations to justify such an increase. When you call they claim inflation, but they have been
doing this for years and the current inflation is far less than 15%!! That's okay I'll just keep switching insurance ever 6 months since companies like this only care about making more $ and not keeping their customers happy.
