The standard and most popular HID format is the 26 bit format: H10301. Most door access control systems use this format, but not all. You will need the Format, Facility Code, and Card Range for ordering new cards. If you are unsure of your programming details, your previous orders information can be found on the HID box your cards came in. Show If you don’t have the old box handy, email us for a test card so we can determine the programming needed. If you know your organization requires cards that are not the popular 26 bit H10301 format don’t worry, call or email us. If the H10301 format is your format, the facility code and ID card range information can be added to the “Order Notes” on the last checkout page. If you forget, you will be contacted by us for that information. The 1326 part number series is the NON-printable version of the standard HID proximity cards. These are also known as clamshell prox cards. HID 1326 ProxCard II cards are not directly printable with any desktop ID card printer. Use adhesive backed PVC cards to print on first and stick them onto the 1326 clamshell card. Or switch to the 1386 HID cards to print directly onto the prox card. The most popular configuration of the HID 1326 card is the 1326LSSMV portion of the part number is called the configuration. What is a clamshell card?Clamshell proximity cards are thicker than a normal card, because they use two pieces of rigid plastic to encase the proximity technology. Clamshell cards are only available with a vertical slot punch. The thicker size means you cannot feed a clamshell card through a card printer.
What do the numbers on a HID card mean?This ID data is simply a set of pre-programmed binary numbers (ones and zeros) that are used to identify the cardholder. HID prox cards and HID iClass contactless credentials are the gold standard in proximity technology.
How do I find my HID facility code?This information is usually printed on the manufacturer's box that contains the keyfobs or proximity cards. If this box is lost or misplaced, contact HID Tech Support at 1-800-237-7769 and give them the HID numbers printed on the card or fob. They can provide the Facility Code and Card Bit Type.
Can NFC read HID cards?The HID Prox system operates at a carrier frequency of 125 kHz. NFC operates at 13.56 MHz. Consequently, it's impossible to read HID Prox cards with an NFC reader. But if you will android HCE, the android device can act as HID tag which can we read by RFID reader.
