Fan motor after running has a quiet high pitch sound, when unit turned off high pitch sound continues until it stops spinning. Though this high pitch motor noise isn't loud, it's loud enough to be irritating.3. Slowest speed on fan not very quiet for people who want it on at night in a bedroom.4. Plastic housing of this product and a couple of the access doors etc...tend to occasionally pick up a rattle, forcing you to walk over to it to touch the various plastic panels to get them to be quiet.** Overall disappointing product as for the money I expected much better quality.Online order, and don't want to waste my time with the return process like some other consumers who bought this product I'm living with the issues. It is not possible to measure its effectiveness with keeping air levels free of all pollutants. I hope it does what it is reported to do! If you try to order the replacement UVC bulb you will get the following error. This is of course idiocy on Amazon’s part because they gleefully sold me the air filter purifier and they’re still available if you wish to order them and have them shipped to California. It is beyond me to understand how Amazon can sell me the air filter/purifier yet not send sell me the replacement for the UVC bulbs that come in each unit. noisy or even on the lowest setting than I expected. I’m reducing my overall rating to two stars due to The inability to order replacement UVC bulbs for this unit. Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2020 I first bought a medium HoMedics Total Clean Tower sir purifier directly from the company and it was great, no problems at all. Since we were having a lot of fires in this state and the air quality was bad, I purchased the same puriifier but in the larger size through Amazon. This purifier is noisier on any fan level then the medium sized one even when it is put on level ground as recommended in their pamphlet insert. The UV-C light indicator was flashing red after only a few days, which indicated the bulb needs changing. I took the bulb out and re-inserted it to troubleshoot the bulb and perhaps it didn't have a secure connection, but after 20 minutes, it started to flash red again. I've written to the company twice as I did register this product with them the day it arrived requesting a new bulb. Have not heard anything about the bulb. For the price of >$240, I would not recommend. How do you clean the filter on a Homedics 5 in 1 air purifier?Unplug the air purifier. Remove the True HEPA filter as described in the Replacing the True HEPA Filter section. Vacuum the outside of the True HEPA filter using the brush attachment of your vacuum cleaner, cleaning it thoroughly. Place the True HEPA filter back into the air purifier and close grille.
