Best Hotel with Time Square view in Manhattan?
10 years ago
I booked the New York Mariott Marquis and freaked out on the price with a Times Square view. I can cancel this at no cost up to a certain date. I've had a few suggestions for Casablanca and Doubletree Suites Times Square. Do these have a Time Square views with reasonable pricing? Would anyone have a recommendation for a hotel with a Time Square view?

If price is an issue, what are your dates and budget per night, and your bedding requirements?

We're staying June 17th to June 22nd. Budget would be close to $300 base price and under. There are 3 of us so two double beds would do the trick.

You either need to readjust your budget or your expectations. You're not coming to sit in the room looking out the window (I hope) and you're coming at a pricey time for hotels.
To answer your question, the Renaissance, the Doubletree Guest Suites and the M Marquis have the best TS views. The W Times Square and the Millennium Broadway will have some views and there are lots of hotels in the area that will have views, but not of tImes Square. The Westin has great views of the Hudson River and oevr to New Jersey and say the Intercontinental Times Square has city views. the Casablanca is a small low building and not sure it has any views at all.
Are you 3 adults or is there 1 child? That could affect costs and room options.

There's 1 adult and 2 boys, age 7 and 12. We will be out and about most of the day. They love the morning and evening view of the big city activity as do I. And those memories will stick with the boys for a long time. I'll have to toil over a room with a view and peak season pricing.

Shooting the dice on hotwire.com for a 4 star in Times Square. I could hit the jackpot or get stuck in the basement. :-) But that would take care of the pricing concern and put us in Times Square.
Use some of your other suggestions with views outside of Times Square
Thanks a bunch NYWhiz.
I've never done so much research for a vacation. This TripAdvisor and the contributors are awesome. Thank-you everyone.

I assume you know
//betterbidding.com
has a list of hotels Hotwire uses so you can usually narrow down or identify the hotels you're likely to get. Imo, all the 4* hotels in Times Square on Hotwire are good ones and will offer some sort of view except the Muse. Here's the list
