How much does a cashier at lowes make

So I got offered Head Cashier from regular Cashier and have been with Lowe’s since this past winter. I’ve been doing Head Cashier things for a little over a week now (have been the HC on the schedule for the entire time I’ve been doing the things and training). I got an email with the job offer and I felt a slap in the face by the pay rate. I know I don’t have management experience but there are other Cashiers that make more than the offer says. I talked to another Head Cashier and he said that he didn’t expect the offer to be that low and the amount of work I’m gonna need to do isn’t worth that pay. I know the amount is generated from that program they use but my question is is there anyway to wiggle my way to increase the offer? Could I tell them I want to get back with them in a month or 2 to review my work to increase the pay rate or something?

Interviewer: What was the work environment like?
Lowe’s Cashier: My colleagues were really cool, like a lot of them were my age, my peers at the front desk, so it was really good working environment. Sometimes, there’s like a high volume of people, and it was stressful. Overall, it was a really good experience.

Interviewer: How would you describe the application and interview process?
Lowe’s Cashier: I got the job through my cousin, so she informed me about the hiring process, and I spoke to the supervisor. He just asked me a few brief question, like my strengths and weaknesses, the scheduling – they were really big on scheduling. Like throughout the day, they’d have full staff constantly.

Interviewer: What questions did the interviewer ask during the job interview?
Lowe’s Cashier: If I was hospitable and also if I was friendly. They want someone who’s friendly at the front desk. My strengths and weaknesses. I believe that was it.

Interviewer: What other advice would you give to a job seeker looking to gain employment?
Lowe’s Cashier: I feel like if you know someone, it’s the best thing to get into, because they want people that they can trust and just like a good work atmosphere. They don’t want to hire strangers – they want to know who they are working with. Also, you have to be willing to work crazy hours. Sometimes, I get up early in the morning, late at night. And be really friendly, always with a smiling face. That’s it.
