2019-2021 Models

These models will often show a “Maintenance Due Soon”, “Maintenance Due Now”, or “Maintenance Past Due” depending on the Oil Life value. Clear it with these steps.

  1. Turn the power to the vehicle on. Do not start the engine.
  2. Go to “Home” > “Settings” > “Vehicle” > “Maintenance Information” > “Oil Life“.
  3. Press and hold the “Enter” button for more than 10 seconds. The vehicle will enter reset mode.
  4. Use the arrow buttons to toggle to “Oil Life“, then press “Enter“.

2016-2018 Models

  1. Turn the power to the vehicle on. Do not start the engine.
  2. Go to “Home” > “Settings” > “Vehicle” > “Maintenance Info“.
  3. Press and hold the “Reset” button to enter reset mode.
  4. Using the arrow buttons, toggle the selection to “Reset“, then push the “Reset” button.

2006-2015 Models

These models typical display a wrench icon when an oil change is due. Clear the wrench with these steps.

  1. First, locate where your “SEL/RESET” button is located on your vehicle. On some models, it is a stem button on the display near the fuel gauge. Other models have it on the steering wheel.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to “On“. Do not start the engine.
  3. Toggle the “SEL/RESET” button to display the “Oil Life %” (if it’s not displayed already).
  4. While the “Oil Life %” is displayed, press and hold the “SEL/RESET” stem for 10 seconds. When the screen blinks, release the button.
  5. Press and hold the “SEL/RESET” stem again for about 5 seconds. When the code disappears, release the stem.

You have successfully reset the oil life to 100%. The wrench light should turn off at this point.


2003-2005 Models

These models display a “Maint Reqd” light when an oil change is due. Clear it with these steps.

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the “OFF” position.
  2. Press and hold the “Select/Reset” button on the instrument panel.
  3. While continuing the hold the “Select/Reset” button, turn the ignition “ON“. Do not start the engine.
  4. Still continue to hold the button(s) for 10 seconds or until the Maint Reqd indicator resets.

Turn power to on, without starting the engine. Go to maintenance info in the settings in the system. In order to enter reset mode, press and hold the reset button. In the reset mode, use the arrows to reach the reset option and choose that to reset the light.
