@Jfultonpt You may have to perform a factory reset, then update the master pin. The steps are below.
Factory reset on the lock.
1. Remove battery cover
2. Remove batteries
3. Remove the two screws behind the batteries
4. Remove the screw at the very bottom of the lock.
5. carefully remove the entire back plate
6. press the button on the circuit board just above where the wires are connected
7. Keep holding the button while you replace the batteries.
8. Release button once batteries are in
9. The code is now reset to the default code of 12345678
10. Reassemble the lock and follow the below directions to set a new code.
If you know the current master code, then you can change it at the door lock keypad.
1. Enter master pin then press #
2. Enter 1 then #
3. Enter New Master pin then #
4. press * to end program
Together with Yale we’ve designed a lock that’s easy to set up and use, but you can also change settings to customize your lock to fit your home. You can set your lock to automatically lock itself, schedule guest access, turn on or off certain notifications, and more. After you install your Google Nest × Yale Lock you’ll add it to the Nest app. Then you can use
the Nest app to change settings. To change settings on your lock: You’ll be able to choose from a number of different settings on your lock. You can read below to learn more about some of your options. Your Nest × Yale Lock can automatically lock itself. You can choose how long your lock should wait before automatically locking, and you can have Auto-Lock on all the time or only when no one’s home. Important: If you have
Auto-Lock on, always make sure to remember your passcode and make sure others who have access to your home memorize their passcode, so nobody accidentally gets locked out. For instance, you might be getting the mail and didn’t bring your phone with you. When Auto-Lock is enabled, you can choose to have it automatically lock your door when you’re Home, Away, or both: Important: It can take your Nest app some time to realize that no one’s home. This means it might take some time before your Nest app will automatically lock the door. You should always remember to lock your door. When Auto-Lock is enabled and you leave home, your lock won’t automatically lock right away. There will be a delay before your home

Auto-Lock
Notifications
In this menu, you can adjust settings for some of the notifications on your lock. You can choose to turn
on notifications for when your door is locked, and when your door is unlocked.

One Touch Locking
One Touch Locking lets you lock the door from the outside with just one touch. If this option is enabled, you can press the Yale
Privacy Mode
When Privacy Mode is enabled, no one will be able to enter a passcode on your lock’s keypad. The door can still be unlocked by turning the deadbolt, or using the the Nest app.

Device options
Volume
You can use this option to set the volume for the voice and sounds on your lock. You can choose between Silent, Low, and High. If you choose Silent, your lock will not chime or speak when locking and unlocking your door.
Note: Your lock may still alert you in certain circumstances, like a low battery or if your lock detects tampering. You’ll also still hear from your lock while Privacy Mode is enabled.
Spoken Language
Here you can select the language that your lock speaks. After you make a selection it may take some time before your lock downloads and begins using the new language.
You can choose from the following languages:
- English - US
- Spanish - MX
- French - CA
Placement
You can use this option to change which door your lock is installed on in the Nest app. You might want to use this option if you decide to move your lock to another door, or you chose the incorrect door when installing your lock.
You can also select where the door is in your home, and choose an optional label to help identify your lock.
Other settings
Set up guest and family access
Each person who uses the lock will have a unique passcode so you can see in the lock’s history who locked or unlocked the door. In order to add a family member or guest to your lock, you’ll send a Family Accounts invite to them.
You can choose if they have Full Access or Home Entry Only, assign a unique passcode, and also schedule access if you only want them to have access at certain times or on certain days.

How your lock works with your Nest Secure alarm system
By default your Nest × Yale lock will not disarm your Google Nest Secure alarm system when the door is unlocked. You can turn on this setting in the Nest app. If you turn on this setting, your alarm system will disarm when a passcode is used to open the Nest × Yale lock.
To turn this option on:
- Tap
the Settings icon on the Nest app home screen.
- Scroll down and tap Security .
- Tap Alarm Options.
- Set Nest × Yale Lock to On.
