Had the same problem. This machine does an excellent job of cleaning but has one flaw..it clogs easily. I noticed the area below and surrounding the roller was loaded with a dense mat of pet hair which quickly clogged the port leading to the dirty water tank. Therefore the clean water solution was bypassing the tank and going directly back into the carpet. This was right after vacuuming! I surmised the problem was with my old vacuum machine not doing it's job. Bought a new vacuum and bingo..problem solved. The suction is so good on the carpet cleaner that it still picks up a small amount of hair but not enough to clog it. Best way to clean the roller area is to simply slide your finger along the bottom and then use an air compressor, with a long extension tube, to blow out the remaining hair. Don't have to remove the roller housing which takes a long time. Hi, Thanks for your question regarding the PowerDash Pet Upright Deep Cleaner! To clean the brush roll, we ask you first to turn off and unplug the unit from the electrical outlet. Next, flip the cleaner on its side to expose the bottom of the cleaner. Then remove the belt covers, use a Philips screwdriver to remove the 6 screws. After that is completed, remove the belt cover from the unit. Then, pull the brushroll toward yourself and remove it from the unit. Finally, rinse the brushroll and allow it to dry. We hope this helps! The green colored rigid ear, lug, or the like (F) extending from the adapter must be connected to a permanent ground (G) such as a properly grounded outlet box cover (Fig. 2).
