Each year, two outstanding student performers (one lead actor and one lead actress) are nominated to join top students from across the country for a week of private coaching with University faculty, master classes with Broadway professionals and rehearsals in preparation for a special performance. National nominees are determined through an audition process. Learn more at jimmyawards.com. This year, up to 16 students will be chosen as National Finalists and will be invited to perform at the Nebraska High School Theater Academy Showcase on Sunday, June 4, 2023. From the group of National Finalists, two top students will be selected as National Nominees and will go on to represent the state at the Jimmy Awards. Throughout the rehearsal process, National Finalists will be required to stay in FREE housing at Creighton University. ELIGIBILITY APPLICATION

Kendall Becerra (San Diego, CA) and Nicholas Barrón (San Antonio, TX) were crowned champions at the annual ceremony on June 27.
What do you get if you win the Jimmys?Winners and finalists receive a scholarship (in 2019, winners received $25,000 scholarships). Winners and nominees have often gone on to significant careers in musical theatre, such as Eva Noblezada, Reneé Rapp, Ryan McCartan and Andrew Barth Feldman, who went on to starring roles in Broadway productions.

The Broadway League is pleased to announce that the 13th annual Jimmy Awards® will take place on Monday, June 27, 2022 at 7:30pm at Broadway's Minskoff Theatre, 200 West 45th Street in Manhattan. The ceremony will feature nominees from over 40 regions around the US.
What is the Jimmys?The National High School Musical Theatre Awards® (the Jimmy Awards®) are a national celebration of outstanding student achievement, recognizing individual artistry in vocal, dance, and acting performance and elevating the importance of theatre arts education in schools.
