Letter of recommendation for preschool teacher from parent

July 22, 2018

To whom it may concern,

I have now known Erin for 2 and a half years from when I first interviewed her to care for my oldest daughter. Instantly I felt at home, comfortable and safe in her home. We were finally able to join her daycare Bright Beginnings this past April 2018.

Since our two daughters joined her daycare this spring, we have felt confident about our girls being cared for by Erin. She is warm, gentle, kind, caring and helpful with my daughters transition to her home.

She has a great routine that I believe has helped prepare my 3 year old for Kindergarten and also created stability for my one year old. Erin allows for play based learning. She helps teach my daughters to develop their social skills to be able to problem solve and make friends and interact in positive ways. She has a love for nature and sharing nature with children. My 3 year old would come home every day talking about what she learned and experienced outside with Erin. She provides the children with fun crafts that have themes. Erin helped my daughters to create the most thoughtful and creative gifts for us for Mother's Day and Father's Day.

She is often in contact with us reaffirming that our girls are happy and safe through text messaging and photos through email. Communication has always been open, thoughtful, and helpful. It has felt like we are a team.

I highly recommend Erin Dupuis to anyone who is looking for child care. I'm so grateful to have met her and looking forward to continuing having her care for our daughter.

Sincerely,

Jen and Kraig Kunej

To Whom it may concern,

We spent a significant amount of time trying to find the perfect daycare for our children. Safety is not the only concern. We as parents seek a daycare where they feel their children will be educated and nurtured -- a daycare that feels just like an extension of home. That is what we found when our family met Erin Dupuis.

Erin is calm, caring, compassionate, trustworthy, responsible, creative, dedicated, and loving. My children are and have always been excited to go there and see Erin. She loves our kids like her own and would do anything for them. For example, while I was in the hospital having my second child, my daughter stayed at her 'second home' and had dinner with Erin and even some of her extended family until we were able to pick her up and meet her brother. During a time so important to us, she was there.

Erin has been an extension of our family since 2014. My daughter, since she was two until she attended JK, and my son since he was 12 months old until present. Our worry as parents is always are they okay, or do they like it where they are? I can honestly say that since we began, there has not been a single doubt that we chose the right person to nurture our children. My son and daughter have made incredible friendships, and gained so many positive social experiences being in Erin's care.

The projects that my kids created to recognize special occasions were always incredible. We always felt that our children were being exposed to really cool experiences that were always hands on and fun. One of the many coolest things we can say about Erin and her style of care and education is her attention to the importance of being outside. I believe that she plays a huge role in our kids loving nature so much and being so interested in their own environment.

I could go on and on but if I could recommend anyone to provide care for your children, it is Erin. It was a perfect fit for our babies and for us.

Sincerely,

The Keene Family

This is a letter of recommendation for Erin Dupuis' home daycare:

My son Dustin had the privilege to attend Erin’s home daycare from the age 14 months until he started Jk (almost 4 years of age.) Each morning Dustin would be very excited and couldn’t get to Erin’s daycare fast enough. He would put on his little backpack and would say with a big smile “it is time to go to Erin’s.” Each night he would tell me about all of the “cool” toys he got to play with and all about his new friends at daycare.

Erin’s play-based learning suited Dustin’s busy personality and he especially enjoyed all of the outdoor activities. Erin’s routines and activities helped Dustin be fully prepared and ready for Jk both socially and academically.

Dustin had a great experience at Erin’s and he often still talks about all the fun times he had at Erin’s. I would highly recommend Erin’s daycare to any parents seeking a personable, nurturing, child-care provider who truly cares for and takes the time to really know the children in her care.

It is with great pleasure that I write this letter of recommendation for Erin Dupuis. My son has been in her care for the past year and a half in her home daycare setting. Erin is a warm, kind individual. She treats each child like her own and takes a genuine interest in their well-being. She is very approachable and communicates with families often about what the children are participating in; whether it be through a text message, conversation, or through pictures of the day’s events sent by email. Since going to her daycare, I have really noticed how my son has grown socially and his confidence and independence has blossomed.

Erin provides a well-balanced program and takes in to consideration the ages and interests of the children. She provides opportunities for structured activities which may include circle time with stories and songs or special themed craft activities. She also allows for free play experiences indoors and outdoors. Erin has a love for nature so the children participate in plenty of outdoor activities year round. Some highlight activities that my son has really enjoyed include; walks to the pond to see the tadpoles, making slime, water play, playing with gears, using stamps, and tobogganing.

I would highly recommend Erin as a childcare provider. Any child would be lucky to have her and families can have peace of mind that their child/children are getting an incredible start in the early years.

Sincerely,

Michelle Meyer

To Whom it May Concern,

Erin is one of the best Early Childhood Educators I have ever met.  My three year old daughter often experienced some separation anxiety when I would drop her off in the morning but Erin was always there with a big hug and a fun activity to engage my child.  I've seen her in action with her class on many occasions and was impressed with her organization, compassion, sense of humour, passion for learning and positive attitude.  She has an amazing understanding of how to relate to children and how to facilitate their cognitive growth and development.  My daughter spent many happy afternoons singing along with Erin and her class as she played their favourite songs on guitar.  I would highly recommend Erin to any parent looking for top-quality childcare.

Dear Parent: It is my pleasure to write a recommendation for Erin Dupuis in regards to caring for your children.  We had the pleasure of first meeting Erin when she started teaching in our older son’s toddler class at Springwater Child Care Centre in Barrie.  At that time our son was a bit withdrawn due to recent speech issues that had developed.  He was a child who had previously loved participating in class, especially music and circle time, and was now quiet and shy.  Within a few weeks he had developed a wonderful bond with Erin and always smiled and hugged her.  She was sensitive to his needs and encouraged him throughout the class.  He blossomed under her care.  She continued to be his main teacher as he moved up into the preschool room.  We had the pleasure of having her as our primary teacher for him for about 2.5 years.  Even though she no longer teaches at our current daycare she continues to ask about both our boys and wants to know how they are doing as they grow up.  Erin is easy to talk to.  She is warm, open and genuine.  She took our concerns seriously and engaged in a professional manner with everyone.  Her lesson plans were very clear and diverse and centred on learning through play.  She made our oldest feel special every day.  She asked how he was doing at home, what he was working on in speech therapy and implemented these recommendations during class.  She has a love for music that is wonderful and the kids love when she brings out her guitar.  She had the preschool class put on a wonderful fairy tale play for all the parents and families that included songs, lines, acting and costumes. I would not hesitate to have Erin care for either of my children again in the future.  If we only lived closer to her we would place both our children in her care.  If you would like to discuss anything directly with us, we would be happy to do so.Sincerely, Sara and Jeff van Kolfschoten
Parents to two boys ages 5 and 3December 8, 2010To Whom This May Concern,Erin Dupuis was our daughter’s preschool teacher at Springwater Child Care Centre.  We would like to highly recommend Erin as a child care provider as she is an outstanding teacher that goes above and beyond.Erin gave our daughter an incredible start to her schooling.  Each day our daughter would wake really excited to see Erin.  Erin made everyday fun and full of new learning experiences.  She sat on the floor with the children and interacted with them.  Erin genuinely cares about children and has endless patience.  Our daughter loved when Erin played her guitar and everyone sang together.  She also loved telling Erin stories about what she did the night before and if she didn’t have a story she made one up because Erin was always so interested. As parents we liked the daily communication about our daughter’s day and progress. Now our daughter is in Kindergarten and she still talks about Erin.  Erin is organized and runs a structured day and the children happily follow the routine.  The children under Erin’s care are happy and content. Erin is positive and encouraging. Erin is qualified, educated and full of experiences with children.  We strongly, without reservation, recommend Erin as a child care provider. Any child that gets to spend time with Erin will be happy and fulfilled.Sincerely,Jennifer and Cory Kline

Dear Sir/Madam,I have known Erin Dupuis for the past two years. During that time she has worked as the educational assistant in my classroom at Humphrey Public School. Erin has demonstrated many qualities which would make me feel comfortable recommending her to any future employer. Some of the qualities I have seen in Erin are reliability, flexibility, trustworthiness, initiative and a positive attitude. Each day Erin would accept whatever work she was given with a positive and friendly attitude and never once with a complaint. She always showed up for work on time and would stay late if necessary. Erin was always willing to take on added responsibilities when asked and showed initiative in doing things she saw needed to be done. I have always felt comfortable leaving Erin in situations which required trust and confidentiality. She has always lived up to my expectations.Erin impressed me so much working as an educational assistant that the following year, my husband (a school principal) and I hired her to look after our two small children. Erin provided a fun, educational, and loving atmosphere for our children and once again demonstrated all of the qualities I had seen previously. I would highly recommend Erin for any position she might be interested in. I wish her all the best in her future endeavors. Sincerely,Tiffany Graves

To Whom It May Concern:

Erin was employed with our centre from January 15th, 2007 to April 13th, 2008.  She worked with our preschool children 2½ to 4 years of age.

Erin brought forth many great ideas and strategies when implementing her program.  She responded to the children with ease and enthusiasm and obviously had a great way with them.  Children were drawn to her and she developed many astounding relationships with them.

Erin had a great rapport with both the other staff in her immediate team and others throughout the centre.  She was able to communicate effectively and professionally with both parents and staff on various occasions.

Erin’s ability to look beyond the situation for possible reasons is amazing.  She always seemed able to adapt to situations and tried to find the cause of a problem to help better solve any behaviours or issues in a productive manner.

I am sure Erin’s endeavour of opening her own Home Daycare will be a huge success.  She is a kind, thoughtful, open‐minded and compassionate person.  Erin will develop long standing relationships with the families that she will be working with.

Sincerely,

Audra Bullied
