I'll start off with the assembly....it took me about 40 minutes to assemble this slide by myself. If my husband had been home, it would have been together in about 5 minutes. Why did it take me so long? I wasn't quite strong enough to snap the ladder and its base together. You need to put some force behind it when snapping the pieces together as shown in the instructions and my 115lbs of body weight weren't enough. Fortunately my hammer was. If you are on the lighter side, I would recommend having a more brawny person help out with the first step. Once I got past the first step in the assemply process it was a breeze.

I should also note that the box the slide comes packaged in is big (about 5'2" in length) and probably won't fit in a small car unless the seats fold down and you aren't bringing your child with you to the store. Fortunately for me, I got in on the free shipping offer during the sale and I had mine delivered.

Once assembled my 20 month old was thrilled to have her very own slide. She had grown attached to our neighbors slide so we thought it was time to get her one. I really feel that this is a great toy for little kids. It's not too high up, but they can still pick up a good amount of speed coming down. The slide is strudy and will certainly make the long haul.

We have an older climber with a slide and my Hubby can't put it together. Any tips? It isn't on the website anymore so it must be outdated. It's a cube with a slide in orange and blue and yellow.

We have one, but I can't remember the colors and it's dark. What size is yours? Ours is small, like 2 or 3 feet tall on the sides. I think it's green, yellow and pink? Or something? (you'd think I'd know, since I see it EVERY DAY! LOL) It all fits together like a puzzle, with the sides sliding onto each other at the corners. Anyway, it was not as simple as I thought it would be!

There is an up and a down side to the slide and you have to put the slide in before the middle horizontal deck piece or something. I remember it took me an hour and I had to get Dh to get it all shoved into place as I wasn't strong enough to make things interlock. I'll go out and look at in the a.m. and post in the afternoon. (I have an a.m. meeting, so will be gone or I'd post sooner! LOL)

Sorry to be so long! Got sick...

So: I went out and looked, and this is what I remember. We had two people doing it, and we didn't push down to lock the sides together until we had the middle deck in place and the slide positioned where it would go. Then we worked everything into place and pushed it all together. Like I said, it took my Dh to do the pushing together of the interlocking pieces as I was not strong enough. (I'm not all that strong; Dh however, is. He's 250, 6'2") Anyway, did you get yours together yet??

Yes thanks barkum, we finally did it. Like you said about the slide and the middle deck. We took it apart again a couple times and there was a lot :hissy: of grunting and straining all at the hottest part of the day during a heat wave. Just in time for her adoption party. We finalize tomorrow and are having a party on Saturday. :cheer:

Congrats on the adoption! :cheer:  I hope the play cube gets a real workout at the party. :D

Thanks Barksum! The cube didn't get much of a workout. We are having a pretty intense heatwave down here in Florida and I believe it hit 98 degrees today. Only one (a ten year old boy) even swam in the pool - which was 92 degrees in the water at 11am! We had a couple dozen people crammed in our house all afternoon, all wishing us well and admiring her sweet beauty.

Thanks again, we will get out there to enjoy it soon I am sure!!
