  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 20 g ginger

Instructions

Lobster is one of the most popular seafoods to cook, which can be tough to prepare.

At the same time, this dish is very affordable since this Garlic Noodles recipe requires ingredients you already have.

So why don’t you challenge yourself a little and try making something extra for your guests?

All you need to remember is to prepare the noodles correctly.

Please don’t make them too soft, but avoid drying them out.

Add more water or broth so the noodles can cook through for perfectly balanced tenderness.

Step 1:

Make the butter sauce. Melt butter in the saucepan over medium heat and pour in some flour.

Whisk until the mixture is smooth and cook for about 2 minutes until it thickens and bubbles.

Step 2:

Stir in the milk gradually and bring the mixture to a boil. Reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Step 3:

In the meantime, prepare the lobster. Remove the tail and claws. Then cut the lobster in half along the back and legs.

Step 4:

Drizzle olive oil over the lobster tail, and season with salt and pepper if you like.

Boil lobster shells and water in a large pot. Then remove the heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.

Step 5:

Drain the lobster shells. After that, bake them for about 12-15 minutes on a baking sheet until the lobster meat is cooked thoroughly.

Pour the butter sauce you’ve made before on the lobster, and place it on broil for about 3 minutes at 500𐩑F.

Step 6:

Take the noodles and soak them in warm water for about 10 minutes.

It will make them softer and easier to work with. Then bring a pot of water to boil and add the noodles.

Cook for about 2 minutes until they are soft and drain.

Step 7:

Mix well with the minced garlic, ginger, and soy sauce in a small bowl.

Step 8:

Heat some oil in a skillet over medium heat and bring the soy sauce mixture to boil.

Then reduce the heat and simmer for about 5 minutes.

Step 9:

Stir the sauce into the noodles. Finally, top the noodles into the lobsters once they are cooked. Serve with a glass of excellent wine or any of your favorite beverages.

Tips and Tricks for Making Yard House Lobster Garlic Noodles

  • Don’t forget to salt your pasta water. This will give your noodles flavor and improve the taste of the dish.

  • Cook the noodles all the way through, but don’t overcook them. Over cooked noodles turn gummy and like to stick together.

  • Use fresh garlic, not garlic powder. Garlic powder is better for soups and stews where it can dissolve in the liquid.

  • Boil your lobster in a large enough pot so the water doesn’t drop in temperature. Use 3 quarts of water for every 1.5-2 pounds of lobster.

  • Save yourself the time and hassle of breaking down a lobster by using precooked and ready-to-eat frozen lobster.

  • Avoid overcooking the lobster. Overcooked lobster becomes chewy and tasteless instead of tender and sweet.
