How much does a miniature cow cost?So how much will a miniature cow set you back? Basically, the smaller the miniatures, the bigger the price tags. Prices start at $3000 for a pair of small white steers, or $3000 for a small heifer.
How many acres do mini cows need?Just as miniature cows eat less than a full-size cow, you'll need just ½ – 1 acre of pasture for each cow and you will have less manure to haul away. Mini cows also drink far less water, an important thing to consider when choosing your milk source.

In general, a miniature cow is a third to half the size of the standard cow. I find that the 42- to 44-inch height is the most ideal for a family small-breed milk cow. Smaller cows may present logistical problems ( you might have to sit on the floor to milk them).
