‘Tis always the season to think about cocktails, good food and making merry. Here are a few suggestions for Fort Worth’s happiest hours. Shops at ClearforkMultiple restaurants in the shops offer dynamite happy hours. Here are a few of our favorites:
West 7thBlue Sushi Sake GrillThe cool location on 7th Street offers a spectacularly generous happy hour: Monday through Saturday from 2-5:30 p.m. and all day Sunday. Along with $7 house martinis and a variety of sake options, you’ll get selections from the excellent sushi and appetizer menu. The Social HouseThe happy hours at the South 7th street gastropub are generous. Weekdays from 2-7 p.m. enjoy $5 crown and down, $4 wells, $3 off all specialty cocktails, $2 off wine by the glass, $1 off draft beer and half-price select starters and flatbreads. Eddie V’s Prime SeafoodThere’s more than a bit of old school glamour going on in the bar at Eddie V’s. All happy hour beverages are $7, and the hours are generous, including 4 p.m. to close offerings on Sundays and Mondays. You can also get a delightful sampling of the superior seafood menu, like oysters, tuna tartare, and the fabulous jumbo lump crab cake. Downtown / Sundance SquareDel Frisco’s GrilleThe happy hour menu features a nice variety of appetizers along with some signature drinks like the white wine sangria – a pinot grigio base with fruit, schnapps and a real grown-up popsicle! Dine-in from 3-6 p.m. to enjoy. GraceThe restaurant has held court at the edge in downtown for close to a decade. In addition to the fabulous bar food, “Bubble Hour” runs weekdays from 4-6 p.m. You can get half-price bubbly by the glass. Little Red Wasp, the more casual sister property to Grace located across the street, serves happy hour 4-6 p.m. everyday. Reata RestaurantThe Sundance Square stalwart is always a go-to for an excellent wine selection and margarita offerings. A favorite of ours is the Tipsy Texan made with Deep Eddy Vodka, Treaty Oak Rum, Waterloo Gin and Z Tequila with a hint of sweet & sour and cola. This quadfecta is sure to warm you up! Thompson’sWhat do you do with an historic 1910 building that used
to house hotel, bookstore and pharmacy? How about turning it into a cocktail lounge, complete with a secret speakeasy-style basement you access with a password at a hidden staircase? Enjoy classic cocktails for half the price on Mondays, Tequila Tuesdays and Whiskey Wednesdays. Buffalo BrothersThis TCU-favorite now has two locations: one off campus and the other in Sundance Square in downtown. Happy Hour runs Monday - Friday 3-6 p.m. with stellar drink specials like $1.50 PBR and $3 wells. Hungry? Order half-price pizza slices and $0.50 boneless wings. Buffalo Brothers more formal sister property in Sundance Square, Waters, also serves happy hour Monday - Friday 4-6 p.m.
