Spider man no way home official trailer release date

Spider-Man from Columbia Pictures' SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is going to change the Marvel Cinematic Universe forever and here’s everything you need to know about the upcoming MCU movie.

Spider-Man 3 has been a term used by essentially every Marvel Cinematic Universe fan over the past two years. However, it won’t need to be used any longer as the upcoming third Spider-Man movie in the MCU has been officially titled Spider-Man: No Way Home.

In spite of the fact that the movie has suffered a number of delays due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Spider-Man: No Way Home remains one of the most anticipated movies of the year.

Tom Holland will reprise his role as the MCU’s webslinger and he will be joined by Benedict Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange. But the two Avengers and the Spider-Man cast aren’t the only major names in the mix.

Below, you’ll find all the up-to-date information you need about Spider-Man: No Way Home, its release date, its cast, any trailers and more.

Spider-Man: No Way Home release date

Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released on December 17, 2021. The MCU film was originally supposed to be released in July but it was delayed until November following the outbreak of the novel coronavirus due to the delays in filming. It was subsequently moved to its December release date.

The film is reportedly set at Christmas so the December release date seems like a good choice.

Spider-Man: No Way Home cast

Spider-Man: No Way Home will feature a gigantic cast. While previous Spider-Man stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon and Marisa Tomei will be reprising their roles, they will also be joined by other stars from the wider MCU as well as stars from previous unrelated Spider-Man movies.

Here is the full confirmed cast of the 2021 film:

  • Tom Holland – Peter Parker/Spider-Man
  • Zendaya – MJ
  • Jacob Batalon – Ned Leeds
  • Marisa Tomei – Aunt May Parker
  • Jamie Foxx – Matt Dillon/Electro
  • Benedict Cumberbatch – Doctor Stephen Strange
  • Alfred Molina – Otto Octavius/Doctor Octopus
  • Tony Revolori – Eugene “Flash” Thompson
  • Harry Holland – Unnamed drug dealer

Former Spider-Man stars Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, along with respective love interests Kirsten Dunst and Emma Stone, are also rumored to appear in some capacity as well, along with Willem Dafoe and Daredevil‘s Charlie Cox.

Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer

Marvel Studios and Sony released a teaser trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home during the 2021 CinemaCon event. This came one day after a very poor quality version of the trailer leaked online.

The trailer is something else and can be viewed here.

The second trailer, a.k.a. the “main” trailer is released tonight during a fan event that will see it released online shortly afterwards. Fans were hoping that it would be paired with Eternals‘ theatrical release. That has not happened, but it’s worth keeping an eye out for the next trailer in the coming hours because, with the movie’s release on the horizon, it’s definitely on its way.

What is Spider-Man: No Way Home about?

The third solo Spider-Man movie in the MCU, Spider-Man: No Way Home remains something of a mystery. There hasn’t been any official plot information released about the movie – other than the fact that it’s set at Christmas – but rumors suggest that it will finally introduce the idea of the multiverse to the MCU.

Its ever-growing cast suggests this too, with the multiverse seeming like a viable explanation for the return of Foxx’s Electro from The Amazing Spider-Man 2 and Molina’s Doctor Octopus from Spider-Man 2.

Now, the title also supports this theory as No Way Home could refer to the fact that Peter gets lost in the multiverse, which might also explain why Cumberbatch’s Doctor Strange is in the film.

The countdown for the second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer is upon us. But when – and at what time – is it actually coming out?

The wait may have been long but it isn’t anymore. Spider-Man: No Way Home is now just one month away and Marvel Cinematic Universe fans are buzzing with excitement at the thought of Peter Parker’s next adventure.

The movie that remains one of the most mysterious on the film calendar of 2021, No Way Home will see Tom Holland reprise his role as the legendary wall-crawler (for the last time, perhaps?) for his third solo movie and fifth overall in the MCU. Furthermore, it will open the MCU up to worlds never before explored as it deals with the multiverse, allowing it to bring back former Spidey villains from non-MCU projects.

One of those villains is none other than Alfred Molina’s Doctor Octopus. He made his return in the first trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home. That very trailer sent the internet into meltdown, revealing Doctor Strange’s role in the film and teasing so much more multiverse madness and mayhem.

It’s been two months since the No Way Home teaser trailer was revealed to the world and, with just two more months to go until the movie’s actual release, fans are eager to know when the theatrical main trailer is coming.

When does the second Spider-Man: No Way Home trailer come out?

The second trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home will be released on Tuesday, November 16, at a special fan event that kicks off at 5pm PT.
