As the Player arrives at their Grandfather's old farm, they are met with an expansive forest which has overgrown onto the property. In Story of Seasons: Pioneers of Olive Town, it is up to the Player to take back the land and bend it to their will. The Player will have to clear the land of trees and debris, fix up broken facilities, and find livestock in the wild. Along the way, the farm will expand and go through upgrades! Your House[edit]Real Country Living[edit]In Pioneers of Olive Town, you'll be starting from the ground up. Literally! The Player begins with a simple tent and campfire, and can upgrade their abode with the right materials. The tent comes with a pop-up cot, radio, some books, and a calendar. House Upgrades[edit]When you're tired of living in a tent, Nigel will take requests for housing upgrades at his shop, Nigel's Handiworks.
Farm Buildings[edit]For information about livestock animals, please see the Animals page. As you clear out the land, you'll uncover different facilities including broken barns and worn down coops. All facilities start out "Dilapidated" when they are discovered. With just a little bit of elbow grease and a whole lot of dedication, you can return these buildings to proper form! Restored farm facilities can be moved around your farm, and you can buy more from Nigel at his shop. Each facility restored counts towards your total Pioneering Progress, which can be tracked from the Records sub-section of the Status menu in your Notebook! Barn[edit]A variety of animals can be raised in barns. Animals that are properly fed or taken out to pasture will produce milk and other byproducts some days later. Upgrades[edit]
Coop[edit]Chickens can be raised in coops. By giving them fodder or letting them graze outside, they'll lay eggs in the coop for you to gather the next day. Upgrades[edit]
Stable[edit]Horses do not use the barn, and must instead be housed in a stable. Similarly, the mountable wolf is kept at the stable when not used as transportation. Upgrades[edit]
Silo[edit]Place fodder in the silo to store it or use it with the automatic feeder. Fodder placed in the Silage will become deluxe fodder the next day. Upgrades[edit]
Hydroculture Plant[edit]Upgrades[edit]
Minor Facilities[edit]
Farm Obstacles[edit]To access more areas you will have to pick one method for Nigel to repair dilapidated bridges and clear rubble on your farm. Provide the materials needed or pay a certain amount. The last bridge is needed to enter Mine 3, the Expert Mine.
Shortcuts[edit]After completing all of the Town Development Events, you can complete Spirit Quests if your game is updated to Version 1.1.0 or above. These quests are a bit more difficult and require all parts to be completed in order to fully satisfy the requirements. After satisfying the requirements for Spirit Quest 3, you will gain access to a tunnel that links Area 1 and Area 3 together. It makes traveling easier between the two areas. Farm Life Skills and Titles[edit]There are 6 skills for farm life unrelated to tools in Pioneers of Olive Town.
Farm Customization[edit]Field Space[edit]Area 1[edit]Area 2[edit]Decorations[edit]Natural Resources[edit]All sorts of wild crops and herbs can be found in each farm area and what grows changes with the seasons. Different types of trees and grass can also be found in each farm area. Unpicked wild onions, melons, and cabbages will remain on the farm for one more season. Summer, Autumn, and Spring, respectively.
Treasures[edit]Draining the ponds and lakes on your farm will reveal treasure chests containing several objects. Take these to Reina at the Olive Museum for appraisal.
