| Pros:After checking out of another hotel our flight got cancelled and was rebooked with another flight the following day. Had to book another hotel and ended up with The Westin. Good rate, very close to the airport (you can see the airport and tarmac from the hotel 1.5 miles away), free shuttle. The food was not up to the Marriott brand nor was the cleanliness of my room. The sink in the bathroom, I was unable to drain, the stopper remained closed. There was an adjacent room and the people in 455 were constantly loud and obnoxious, it was difficult to sleep with their constant noise. The food was subpar and the utensils in the dining room was not clean. i had to ask for a clean spoon 3 times. If you can provide clean silverware then give out plastic. We are still dealing with covid and the flu, clean utensils is the minimum standard. I live about an hour away from the westin. I chose to stay here because we were getting our floors done at the house and needed to stay overnight at a hotel. I chose to drive about an hour because this hotel offers an indoor pool. I didn’t want my child to be bored so I decided to stay here. upon arrival around 5:30pm my daughter and I checked in and asked about the pool. The lady told us it was on the third floor. super excited since my child never swam indoors before! non the less we went to the pool area around 6 and i was closed. we went to ask and was told that they were cleaning the pool and we could go in at 6:30. once again went at 6:30 and it was still closed. we went back down and the person who we spoke to was extremely rude. we asked him when it would be open and he told us 11pm. I was confused and said “i think you misunderstood” “ the pool is closed” and his reply was “ if it’s closed then it’s closed i don’t know what to tell you”. My child was so sad that she couldn’t go swimming and I was upset that i was basically lied to. I did not have to go all the way down there for nothing. i could of stayed closer to home and cheap!!!
