Patrick Mahomes and Co. have won seven of their last eight games, but they still find themselves behind the Bills in the conference standings due to Buffalo holding the tiebreaker. A narrow 27-24 loss to the Bengals a few weeks ago looms large — and it could ultimately cost the Chiefs the No. 1 seed if both teams win out.

Last time out, Kansas City escaped Houston with a 30-24 overtime win that was far too close for comfort. The team with the NFL's worst record was ahead for most of the day, but Mahomes helped lead a fourth quarter rally to send it to overtime, then win it after an untimely Davis Mills fumble.

On the other side, the Seahawks are slumping at the worst possible time. They have lost four of their last five games, and they now find themselves on the outside looking in with regard to the NFC playoff spots.

Geno Smith has lost some of the magic he had earlier in the year when he led his team to a 6-3 start. He'll need to get back on the same page with star receiver DK Metcalf, with fellow wideout Tyler Lockett sidelined for a while with a broken bone in his hand. Running back Kenneth Walker will also be looking to get back on track after an ankle injury slowed him down the past few weeks.
