Universal recently announced that the 2022 Halloween Horror Nights Dates will start on September 2nd, 2022 and run through October 31st 2022. Below are the exact HHN 2022 dates.

One of the coolest things about staying at a Universal Orlando Resort is the free transportation to and from the theme parks. One of the all time classics are coming back for the Halloween Horror Nights 2022 Haunted House lineup! We are stepping back into 1978 with this 2022 Halloween Horror Nights Haunted House, and Michael Meyers is stepping back onto center stage. For the first time ever, incredible artist The Weeknd joins forces with Universal Studios’ Halloween Horror Nights to inspire all-new, terrifying haunted houses based on his record-breaking “After Hours” album. Guests visiting either Universal Orlando or Universal Hollywood can enjoy this brand-new house as they spiral into the twisted mind of this mysterious artist to experience “The Weeknd: After Hours Nightmare.”
Halloween Horror Nights House #5 – Spirits of the Coven
Set in the 1920’s, a coven of flapper witches want you to discover their speakeasy to reveal their true evil forms for a frightening night. Avoid turning into what’s brewing in the cauldron and watch out for the blood curdling laughs and screams from those horrible, hellacious hags!
Halloween Horror Nights House #6 – Bugs: Eaten Alive
Step back into the future in this 1950’s home, where you will have to survive the slimes and sludges of hordes and hordes of insects looking to truly terrorize you. Watch above you, underneath you and in every crack and corner with this creepy-crawly Halloween Horror Nights haunted house. Don’t forget to call the exterminator with this 2022 HHN house, you are going to need it.
Halloween Horror Nights House #7 – Fiesta de Chupacabras
You will be transported into a small Latin American village where you will have to come face to face with the legend of the Chupacabra. This beautiful and vibrant fiesta will color the streets with the blood, guts and gore of those unaware of the horrors to come! Hopefully you’re not a tourist, because things might end badly for you.

This time you’re going to prison, and you might not make it out alive. All of the inmates here are creatures, ghouls and monsters who might be serving you a death sentence in this incredible new HHN Haunted House. So, find a way to break free from this haunted house at Halloween Horror Nights or it might be a permanent stay!
Halloween Horror Nights House #9 – Dead Man’s Pier: Winter’s Wake
Enter the sleepy New England fishing village to cross paths with the undead fishermen who lost their lives at sea. Unfortunately for you, they’re pretty angry about death and are looking to drag you back to sea with them. See if you can survive the night in this watery doom!

And as a general rule of thumb Universal does keep Harry Potter and the Escape from Gringotts open in Diagon Alley until 9:00 PM during most Halloween Horror Nights events. It is important to note that the Hogwarts Express and Olivanders Wand Shop are not open during Halloween Horror Nights.
What time does Harry Potter world close during Halloween Horror Nights?
Diagon Alley closes to regular daytime guests at 5 p.m. during Halloween Horror Nights events. Anyone with a Halloween Horror Nights ticket can wait in the designated holding area in Diagon Alley and enjoy Harry Potter and the Escape From Gringotts as part of the Halloween Horror Nights event until 9:00 PM.

The short answer is yes. Halloween Horror Nights does require special Universal Studios Halloween Horror Nights tickets for entry into the park after 6:30 p.m. A regular Universal Studios Ticketwill NOT give you entry into Halloween Horror Nights. Our Halloween Horror Nights express pass review? Highly recommended, but given the increased Halloween Horror Nights wait times we don’t see the benefit of having an unlimited pass…unless you only have your heart set on one specific haunted house.
Halloween Horror Nights Early Entry: Scream Early Ticket
If you are trying to accomplish everything on the Universal Halloween Horror nights park map, arrive as early as you can. The easiest way to beat the long lines is to take advantage of the Scream Early Ticket—the best option for guests who don’t have an annual pass (Halloween Horror Nights annual pass discount, anyone?) and also do not want to purchase a full price one day ticket.
