TODAY: After a cold start, we will see temperatures rebound to seasonable levels in the afternoon. The high is 49 and with sunshine and light winds it will feel pretty nice.

SATURDAY: Our next frontal system moves in thanks to the fast-moving pattern we have in place. Ahead of it, southerly winds once again will boost temperatures into the upper 50s to near 60...around 10 degrees above average. Winds will gust up to 40mph. A period of rain in the morning looks to drop 1/10" to " before we dry things out for the afternoon hours with a few peeks of sun possible. If you are planning to get a Christmas tree, definitely wait until the afternoon. There may be a narrow band of showers that comes through with the actual cold front, but that wouldn't be until after dark in the early evening.

SUNDAY: Behind that cold front, temperatures will drop quickly Saturday night setting us up for a cold Sunday. Sunday's high will only be 45 with northwesterly winds at 7-14mph adding a slight chill. We'll see mostly sunny skies with just a few high clouds streaming in. Expect temperatures in the lower to mid-40s with an upper 30s feel for the Eagles 1 p.m. game vs. the Titans.

ANTOINETTE: COLORFUL, INDEED. YOU KNOW WHAT WILL BE WAKING US UP LATER THIS WEEK. CINDY: A BLAST OF COLD. LAST WEEK, WOW, THAT WAS SOMETHING. THIS WEEK IS GOING TO BE MORE INTENSE THAN WHAT WE EXPERIENCED LAST WEEK. ANTOINETTE: FANTASTIC. CINDY: YOU GOT IT. CLOUDY FOR YOUR VETERANS DAY, THOUGH. ON THE MILD SIDE. TODAY IS THE WARMEST DAY OF THE WEEK. WE'VE GOT SOME RAIN COMING IN TOMORROW THAT WILL END AS SNOW. SO KIND OF A MESSY DAY. I DON'T THINK WE'RE LOOKING AT SIGNIFICANT SNOW ACCUMULATIONS, BUT THE TEMPERATURES ARE GOING TO BE DROPPING, AND, BOY, A BLAST OF WINTER COMING IN HERE FOR THE MIDDLE OF THE WEEK. SO THAT COLD RIGHT NOW IS TO OUR NORTH AND WEST. YOU CAN SEE IT'S ONLY IN THE TEENS BACK TOWARD MINNEAPOLIS. CHICAGO IS 29. TEMPERATURES WILL BE DROPPING THERE THROUGHOUT THE DAY. SO OUT AHEAD OF THIS FRONTAL BOUNDARY, IT IS PRETTY MILD. THAT'S WHAT WE'RE SITTING ON RIGHT NOW. THIS FRONT IS DROPPING SOUTHWARD VERY SLOWLY, SO THAT'S WHY WE'RE GOING TO SNEAK OUT ANOTHER MILD DAY TODAY, BUT THERE ARE A FAIR AMOUNT OF CLOUDS WORKING THROUGH THIS MORNING. AND IF YOU ARE TRAVELING UP TO NORTHERN NEW ENGLAND, THAT IS WHERE SNOW IS GOING TO GET STARTED, PARTICULARLY PARTS OF FAR NORTHERN NEW YORK, VERMONT AND NEW HAMPSHIRE AND WESTERN MAINE. SO IF YOUR TRAVEL PLANS TAKE YOU NORTH TODAY, HEADS UP ON THAT. FOR US, MAINLY DRY. IT IS 40 IN WORCESTER. 41 IN LAWRENCE. BOSTON 46. AND WE'RE IN THE MID 30'S, BUT ABOVE FREEZING HERE PLYMOUTH ON OUT TO THE CAPE THIS MORNING. SO YOUR VETERANS DAY KEEPS THOSE CLOUDS PRETTY MUCH LOCKED IN ALL DAY LONG. WINDS FAIRLY LIGHT. THEY'LL TURN TO THE NORTHEAST. TEMPERATURES WILL JUST KIND OF CREEP UP SLOWLY. BY DAY'S END, WE'RE NUDGING TOWARD 50 IN BOSTON, BUT THERE WILL LIKELY BE MID AND UPPER 50'S FROM THE SOUTH SHORE TO THE CAPE. WE'LL HOLD IN THE 40'S NORTH AND WEST OF BOSTON. NOT A BAD DAY OVERALL. AS WE GET TOWARD LATE IN THE DAY, A LITTLE BIT OF LIGHT RAIN MAY TRY TO BREAK OUT ACROSS SOUTHERN NEW HAMPSHIRE AND PARTS OF THE NORTH SHORE. THE ROUTE 2 CORRIDOR. TO THE NORTH, HEADS-UP. WE MAY ACTUALLY HAVE SOME RAIN BY DAY'S END, BUT THE REST OF US HERE OVERNIGHT STAYING MOSTLY CLOUDY. CAN'T RULE OUT A FEW SHOWERS. IT'S ABOVE FREEZING OVERNIGHT. AND TOMORROW STARTS OUT MILD. RAIN WILL MOVE ON IN. THEN AS THE WINDS SHIFT TO THE NORTHWEST, TEMPERATURES FALL AND THAT RAIN IS GOING TO END AS SNOW. ONCE THIS FRONT GOES BY US, THE COLDER AIR IS GOING TO POUR IN. SO TAKE A LOOK AT THE TIMELINE TOMORROW MORNING. THE MORNING COMMUTE, 8:00, 9:00, I THINK WE'RE GOING TO WATCH THAT RAIN START TO MOVE IN, BUT IT'S THE TAIL END OF THE MORNING COMMUTE. 50'S IN THE MORNING. LOOK AT THIS BY NOONTIME. WE'RE DROPPING FROM THE 50'S DOWN INTO THE 40'S AND OUT THROUGH THE WORCESTER HILLS, IT'S DOWN INTO THE 30'S. THE RAIN IS CHANGING OVER TO SNOW, AND THAT RAIN/SNOW LINE PUSHES TOWARD THE COASTLINE. BY 4:00 IN THE AFTERNOON, BOSTON MAY FLIP OVER TO SNOW AND THAT SNOW COULD PUSH ALL THE WAY DOWN TO THE CAPE BEFORE ENDING. NOT A LOT OF TIME TO ACCUMULATE. I DON'T THINK WE'RE LOOKING AT SLICK ROADS, BUT ON SOME OF THE GRASSY SURFACES, THERE COULD BE PATCHY COATINGS. ONCE YOU GET INTO THE NORTHERN, WESTERN WORCESTER HILLS, THAT'S WHERE YOU MAY SEE A COATING IN THE HIGHEST ELEVATIONS. FORECASTING JUST 32 FOR BOSTON ON WEDNESDAY. THE RECORD COLD HIGH TEMPERATURE IS 36. SO RECORD COLD IN THE FORECAST FOR WEDNESDAY. IT COMES IN WITH A LOT OF WIND. THESE ARE THE WIND CHILLS AS YOU'RE HEADING OUT THE DOOR WEDNESDAY MORNING. SINGLE DIGITS. THOSE WIND CHILLS GET NO HIGHER THAN THE TEENS THROUGHOUT THE DAY. COLD STUFF ON THE WAY WEDNESDAY. WE'LL LOSE THE WIND ON THURSDAY. TEMPERATURES SLOWLY MODERATE. WE SHOULD BE BACK IN THE 40'S HERE BY FRIDAY. WOW, COLD WEEKEND. KATIE: THAT IS C
