Adding windshield washer fluid to your 2016 Ford Explorer is a fairly straightforward process. The video above shows you where the window washer fluid reservoir is located in your Explorer, how to remove the reservoir cap and add windshield washer fluid. The nice thing about adding windshield washer fluid is that you can't overfill the reservoir - once it's full, you can stop adding fluid!

Both the rear and front windshield wipers of the 2017 Ford Explorer use standard, multi-vehicle washer fluid. The reservoir can be accessed and filled under the hood in the engine bay. The Explorer employs a 26" blade on the driver's side; a 22 inch wiper on the passenger's side and an 11" blade on the rear window. The wiper control stalk is located to the right of the steering wheel. To activate the front wipers push the stalk upwards. To switch on the rear wiper, depress the button located at the tip of the stick. To wash the windshield, pull the stalk toward You. You can control the speed of the blades by moving a separate dial installed around the main control stick. This guide is informed by three white lines for low, medium and high operation.

The 2017 ford explorer uses a single combined reservoir and standard windshield fluid for all of the vehicle's windshield wipers.

The way I’ve seen it work is when I put the vehicle in reverse and press the windshield washer lever Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Ok, I will try it! Wheres the reservoir? Ive had the wiper run automatically at times when placed in reverse but never had washer fluid come out and could find a reservoir in rear anywhere. Seems like a long
distance if its ran from the front.
Does anyone know if there's rear windshield washer on the 2020 ST? At top to the right of the 3rd brake light theres something.... I don't think its a camera but i cant seem to find any info or button for rear wash?

The front and rear are supplied from the same tank. It might just take longer for the fluid to travel to the rear. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

You have to push the lever forward for the rear windshield washer Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Push the right hand cam lever forward for the rear washer, and the pump for it is towards the top of the washer reservoir, so if you use a lot of the fluid, which note the pump for the front is lower in the tank, you won't have any for the rear!
