Causes of Zoom Camera Not Working

If Zoom is not detecting your camera, it could be due to a few reasons:

• Interference from other programs or devices.
• Outdated or corrupt device drivers.
• Problems with your camera's hardware.

How to Fix Zoom Webcam Not Working

Follow these steps in order to get your camera working in Zoom:

8. Restart your device. A reboot fixes most computer problems because it closes any ongoing processes that could be interfering with software or hardware, such as your camera.

9. Change Zoom's Advanced Video Settings. Zoom provides advanced tools designed to enhance video playback, but they sometimes have the opposite result. If your video continues to be distorted, open Zoom while not in a meeting and select the Settings gear, then choose the Video tab and select Advanced to adjust these options.

   Make sure the correct camera is chosen and that the box beside Turn off my video when joining meeting isn't checked.

10. Reinstall Zoom. If you're using the mobile or desktop versions of Zoom, uninstall the program and redownload it from the Apple App Store, Google Play, or the Zoom website. Alternatively, you can try using the web version.

    If you're still having trouble with your camera in Zoom, you can still participate in meetings with your microphone or by dialing-in to Zoom.

Zoom Webcam Not Working on Lenovo Laptops

Some Lenovo PCs have a default feature that prevents Zoom from accessing the camera. On Windows 10 and Windows 8, download Lenovo Vantage and use it to disable the Camera Privacy Mode. On Windows 7, open the Lenovo Web Conferencing program and select Enable your laptop webcam.
