Curtains did not close. Sheers only covering windows in full. Lights from parking lot and other surrounding commercial areas shine into room lighting it up like day light. Hot tub green and not working; heated pool cold. Staff friendly and breakfast was pretty good. We were told they overbooked and gave us a King Deluxe Suite. To our surprise the room seemed very small. The suite area was nice but it made the bedroom very small. Our issue was with the neighborhood. We drove through some run down areas of the city which gave us concern. When we arrived, we were shocked to see the hotel squeezed between an Enterprise Rental and a strip mall. We saw trash piled up near where we parked. I told
my wife I wanted to leave now. It was late so we decided to stay. The next day we found ourselves staying out until we were exhausted so all we did was sleep in the room. We got up on our second morning and looked out the windows. We saw an Enterprise, back of a strip mall and tractor trailer containers lined up. We both agreed we wanted to leave ASAP regardless of the financial loss for the room. We left and found a nice hotel in a nice area. The hotel was nice and may be good for a quick stay
but it is not a destination hotel for 4 to 5 days. I will say the pictures are taken so you do not see the ugly surrounding. I would have never booked the room had I known what was around it.
