Garnier Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave-in Conditioner is a big green bottle of creamy leave in conditioner. This was my holy grail back when I wasn’t following CG friendly routine.

In India, getting a pocket-friendly leave-in conditioner isn’t easy, unless you use a watered-down version by mixing water with conditioners like Loreal Smooth intense conditioner or Matrix Biolage Hydrasource conditioner. So this bottle, usually priced at INR 800- 1000 was fantastic. It is also one of the more easily available products you can find on Amazon, which is probably why so many girls still ask me about this product.

I may not use this anymore, but this review is based on when I was a regular user.

Is It CG Friendly:

No. It has AMODIMETHICONE & ISOPROPYL ALCOHOL ( if this alcohol was at the end of the ingredient list, it would be okay to use in a CG friendly routine. Eg- Loreal smooth Intense Conditioner)

Pros:

1. Easily available online in India
2. Big bottle for just Rs.900
3. Creamy consistency, perfect for my 3b curls.
4. Delicious Scent
5. Reduces frizz significantly

After Using Garnier Sleek & Shine Intensely Smooth Leave in Conditioner

Cons:

1. The frizz reduction is probably due to the amodimethicone which is a silicone & not allowed in a CG routine.
2. This silicone will cause buildup and in time make your curls limp & heavy unless you use a sulphate shampoo.
3. It can get heavy for curl patterns like 3A or wavy textures (2A,2B,2C)

This is how I apply my conditioner inside the shower and the leave in conditioner (filmed) outside it for soft, well moisturised curls. Tag someone who has curly hair! Step 1: Part your hair into sections. Step 2: Take a good moisturising leave in conditioner and spread from mid length to the ends. Step 3: Finger detangle gently to avoid breakage. Step 4: Comb from the bottom of your hair going up first with a wide toothed comb and then a narrower comb. Step 5: Take a Tshirt and scrunch up your hair for 1-2 minutes. Step 6: Air dry and avoid touching your hair for frizz free curls! Used: #garnierfructis sleek and shine intensely smooth leave in conditioner.

Will I Buy This Again:

No, I’m happier with a CG friendly routine now. I currently use either or a mix of these products.
