The city centre needs a lot more facilities for the tourists. No decent public toilets. Almost non existent shopping experience. Tourist information is not available at all. Beautification (i.e. cleanliness) is a must in public areas. On the positive side...people are very friendly they couldn't do enough for you and the beaches are beautiful.

Looking beyond the resort hotel (Rai Atrium Suites) and their awkward staff, the folks in the area were warm and very approachable. Typical rural, lovable pinoy. Since we were forced to find a place to eat by Rai’s unfeeling staff, we chanced upon “Dampa Esperanza” near the marketplace whose staff is uber hospitable, efficient and charming. The food was fresh and cooked to specifications. It was a real treat!
