How to make bong out of pill bottle

There’s no better feeling for a stoner than making a badass home creation and then getting stoned from it. Granted, with this bong, you might not be able to sell it in smoke shops for its awesome quality, but it will surely give you a smooth hit that gets you very, very baked. So how does one make this incredible yet somewhat shitty piece of smoking equipment? LIKE THIS:

1. Get two plastic bottles. Make sure one bottle has a curved lip toward the bottom in order to fit over the other bottle. A Gold Peak Iced Tea bottle

2. Cut out the bottom of the bottle with the curved bottom, very close to the bottom so there is still a curve.

3. Take the second bottle (we recommend a regular powerade bottle) and burn a hole about an inch and half from the bottom. This is where the slider and bong piece will go.

4. Set two bottles aside for now.

Percolator

1. Take a pharmaceutical pill bottle (you know, the orange ones), and make sure the mouth of the bottle fits snuggly over A cap. A regular powerade cap will most likely be too big, so we used a Bacardi cap and wrapped it in duct tape to make it fit snuggly. As long as you can find a cap that fits inside the pill bottle it doesn’t matter.

2. Poke small holes in a line around the pill bottle, about an inch from the mouth.

3. Take a common plastic pen, and remove the ink and anything else until you are left with just the shell or shaft of the pen.

4. Burn a hole in the cap of your choice and poke the pen shaft through. At this point the pen shaft should be poking through the cap, up inside the pill bottle. Make sure a small piece of the pen shaft is still sticking out of the opposite end of the cap, as this will go into the powerade bottle.

Assembly

1. Once finished with the percolator, it’s very simple and easy to assemble. The pill bottle should fit perfectly over the mouth of the powerade bottle, so it sits on top with the pen shaft on the inside, poking up into the pill bottle and a small piece poking into powerade bottle from the cap. It is okay if the cap inside the pill bottle does not fit over the powerade mouth, as long as the pill bottle fits.

2. Take the gold peak bottle and sit it over-top of the powerade bottle, so the percolator is upright right in the middle of the gold peak bottle.

3. Using strong super glue (we recommend Gorilla Glue), attach the bottles to each other. At this point the two bottles should be stacked on top of each other with the percolator on top of the powerade bottle, inside of the gold peak bottle.

4. After the glue dries you are GOOD TO GO!

To fill up the bong, pour water first through the slide hole in the powerade bottle to about a half inch below the slide hole. Then fill up the top (gold peak) bottle with water until the water passes the holes in the percolator (it’s personal preference as to how high you want the water to pass the holes). Keep in mind the more water in the top bottle, the cooler the hit, but the greater chance you have of getting a nice mouthful of bong water…delicious.  If your wondering what the white stuff around the top of the bottle is, its just glue from another “experiment.”

Bottom Line: This bong is pretty simple and easy to make if you have the right bottles and a pill bottle that fits. It can be a pain to fill up with water with the separate chambers (bottles), and if not sealed correctly, water can leak out of the bottom of the gold peak bottle. Otherwise, this is a great bong to have if you’ve always wanted a percolator bong (like me) but can’t afford one (like me).
