Replacement and it worked well

Reviewed in the United States on September 7, 2022

It was so easy to install with very simple instructions. I have a 2004 Camry and it fits perfectly. The mechanic was looking to charge over $300 for my cracked mirror and wanted to replace the entire mirror holder (with a different color than my car). I was able to do this myself for $14!

Looks to the original mirror, same size. Comes with easy to understand instructions, installation is simple. The included double sided adhesive strips are excellent and very strong. Overall a great value for the money.

There mirror worked as expected and the image is great. That said, after installing it there was a void between the glass and the original frame, nothing too serious but not for a 5star.

I followed all of the directions correctly and the mirror fell off literally 2 minutes later. The mirror fit just fine, however the tape that is provided is trash. If purchasing this item, use gorilla glue instead!

Easy to install and fits perfectly with the 2009 Camry. I cleaned the base and installed correctly and the mirror (and adhesive strips) fell off within two minutes. Mirror was shattered immediately by other cars. Use extra adhesive glue if purchasing!

The mirror backing plate is removed by inserting a flat blade along the top of the plate while applying an outward prying pressure. There are two clips at the top that pop out and two hooks on the bottom half, so you lift the backing plate out after popping the top clips free. I removed the shattered glass from the backing plate and scraped the adhesive off it. The new mirror was slightly larger than the backing plate recess, so I ran a razor knife around the edge to enlarge the diameter slightly. I didn't trust using the supplied double sided tape in our cold climate, so I used some E6000 adhesive instead. Looks like new again at a bargain price!

From reading the many reviews of 2002 Camry replacement glass mirrors, I quickly realized that Toyota has many "part numbers" for their driver/passenger side mirror. So the DIY'er measure the longest length of the old mirror to find the right match from the many listed in Amazon.

The mirror arrived and it fits. The package is a display package and I needed to scrape the double stick tape that held the mirror to the mounting cardboard. I did not use the two pieces of double stick tape that came with the package and attached the mirror with adhesive to the entire mounting instead of the relatively small areas that would have been covered with the tape.

The actual mirror has a mixed review. The plus side: the mirror does mount glass out, so it will last longer than some of the other mirrors that I read the user reviews of on Amazon. The minus side: the mirror, which is convex, has a lot of distortion on the outer edge. The greater plus side is after snapping in the mount in to place it is obvious that I never properly adjusted the passenger side door mirror. I see more with new slightly distorted mirror and with the older one.

I followed all the procedures when putting on the mirror, but the mirror fell off after 3 months. I wonder if this is normal. or are they gonna send me a new one?

1.0 out of 5 stars Doesnt fit

Bought this replacement glass for my 2003 toyota camry to find out it didn't fit my car.
I broke the old glass miror and when I went to install it, it was too big. It could be that my camry is japanese made and this miror fix only US made. But that was never mentioned in the disricption.

Very disappointed as I destroyed the old miror which only had a Crack.

My car is US built and it still doesn't fit properly. Absolutely does not fit a Toyota Camry.
