How to transfer xbox account to another email

I looked into this problem sometime ago, and wasn't able to find a solution. Other than these article which didn't work.

Apparently, you need an xbox360 and you can't do it on the new xboxone/x if it's even possible at all. Microsoft Support at the time was absolutely useless. Kept insisting that I just wanted to change the email address.

So, I'm hoping you guys might know more than I.

Anyway, my question is this:

Old Microsoft Account and old email address with Xbox Account

Transfer to the new:

Microsoft Account and email

So I can delete the old email address and account because I haven't used it in over 5 years.

Thanks for any help in advance.

Edit:

21/07/2018

got an xbox360 and tried the above two guides. I get an error message stating that this is no longer available.

I have had multiple people message me since I made this post asking me if this has been solved. Microsoft needs to implement this feature as clearly this is a common request from users.

Still no solution to this issue. If one is ever found I'll update this post.

Still no solution and I've been getting PMs every few months asking if a solution has been found. As of yet I don't know of one. If anyone has / finds one please leave a comment.
