Please don't bank here so much drama, they ignore you, claim that you are not on the loan and refuse you any rights even though you are on the loan, modification and title. They refuse to provide statements and refuse to deal with the loan questions.

Worst customer service! Have been trying for 2 months to get Helco to help me with
a home equity line of credit. Left messages, emails, I call no one can help I have to call Randy, Well still 2 months nothing. Sick of the pandemic excuse or they are working from home. You know enough is enough.

Tropical Financial has the worse customer service in the industry. All you have to do is read the other negative reviews. We paid our mortgage off 9/8/20 and were told that we would get the escrow balance 4 weeks after payoff and the release of lien within 30 to sixty days after. First, they split the escrow payment and to this day no one can tell us why. After many calls and giving me the run around, I called again on 10/23 and asked to speak with a supervisor. I was was connected with Ruchi, and after explaining and asking the reason for the delay yet again in receiving my escrow refund, she placed me on hold and without telling me anything the call was transfer to the survey line. I called again and this time I was told that the check was mailed out 10/7 and to allow 10 business days or 10/20 to receive the check. It’s now 10/25 and the check has not been received. It doesn’t make sense that I received the release of lien which I was told would take 30 to 60 days and still no check. Every time I call, I have to explain my situation all over again. It appears that no call records are being maintained so that customers don’t have to explain the issue over and over again. This is why we are ending our relationship with tropical and perhaps is the reason why the branch in Pembroke Pines was recently closed. For a bank with only a handful of branches, you would think that they would place more emphasis on customer service to retain the few customers they have.

They work with a third party for auto payments, so when you finish paying off your loan they continue to take your money monthly even after you’ve closed your accounts and owe nothing. There is no notification of this happening and once it happens you have to re-close the account and wait for a check to be sent weeks later. Basically a robbery. Don’t bank here if you can avoid it.

My mother, the account holder at TFCU recently passed away. Attempting to deal with "another bank, I won't mention their name) and with TFCU to gain access to her funds as her trustee was a nightmare for the "other bank", 9 hours at their bank and 4 visits to accomplish this....However, when I contacted TFCU, I originally spoke to Jennifer B..because of COVID, the branch was not open to the public. Jennifer not only assisted me via email with each and every question I had, and trust me, I had a LOT of questions, but she responded almost immediately to each email, which considerably speeded up what I needed to do to have access to my mother's funds in order to pay for her funeral. She also worked closely with Janet S in the Fort Lauderdale office behind the scenes, so when I had to provide paperwork I was able to go to the drive thru in Fort Lauderdale, Janet had been advised by Jennifer that I would be coming and to expect me. The transactions were flawless and quick. I cannot even begin to tell you what an asset Jennifer B and Janet S are to TFCU. This is not my first experience with them, as I assisted my mother with her banking on a regular basis..In my time of grief when my head was so full of what needed to be done, they were a blessing. A million thank you's to both Jennifer B and Janet S for working together as a team to resolve my issues and allow me to move onto other pressing matters. I am also now going to move my own personal account from the "other bank" to TFCU because I am so impressed with their knowledge and ability to get things done. Thank you ladies, for all your help. I am forever grateful...
