Hi, new at this hope I got the right place.

I bought a replacement unit for my 2007 Jeep Compass, (someone hit my wife and broke the front right unit)
But I tried to take out old unit, but have no idea how to do it, not in owner manual at all. Was hoping there is an easy way to do this - or some one knows the instructions for changing this unit.

Thanks
Ken

Hey Chief, I also had to order a new corner lense. Someone hit or punched or did something to mine too. It had a crack. I found a write up on it.. Ill try to locate it again but you have to go in the wheel well and do it from the back.. take off the wheel and the well covering and do it that way. Maybe try and figure it out that way in the mean time ill try to locate the write up

1. Disconnect and isolate the battery negative cable.
2. Raise and support the vehicle.
3. Remove the front wheel and tire on the same side of the vehicle as the park/turn signal lamp being serviced.
4. Remove the three screws (1) that secure the outboard side of the front wheel house splash shield (4) to the front fascia (2).
5. Remove the push pin fastener (3) that secures the inboard side of the splash shield to the front end sheet metal.
6. Remove the two push pin fasteners that secure the forward edge of the splash shield to the front fascia closure panel.
7. Fold the front of the splash shield rearward far enough to access the back of the front fascia.

Can I change my own turn signal bulb?

If you have just one turn signal that is out, then you can likely repair that issue for a very small expense and a few moments of your time. Changing out a turn signal bulb is quick and easy. It simply involves removing the burnt light bulb and replacing it with a new one.

How much does it cost to replace a turning signal?

$80-$110. The average cost to replace your turn signal bulb is $80 - $110. Pricing may vary based on the type of car you have, as well as the type of (and quality) auto shop that you go to.
If the turn signals light up, but do not flash, it is time to replace the flasher. If there are no turn signals on either side, check the fuse as it may be defective. Another problem is both turn signals on one side not working. This could indicate bad bulbs or bad ground in both housings.
