2010 jeep wrangler tail light bulb

2010 jeep wrangler tail light bulb

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Replacement Part for OEM taillight
Reviewed in the United States on December 13, 2016

You would be hard pressed to tell this one from the OEM part when viewing it from the outside of the vehicle. No difference in opacity of the red or white lens with the bulbs illuminated. Fits the body and OEM wire harness the same. No difference noted except in the color of the bulb holders used in OEM part vs this aftermarket part. Same mounting to body cavity as OEM part., plug and play electrical setup. Definitely recommend as a replacement part for OEM taillight!!!!

Solved my problem. I broke one of my tail lights a year and a half back, replaced the set with one of those really nice led jobs sold on here, the low profile ones that were shaped round. Really looked great till they started failing. LED bulbs were going out, have the time the ground wasn't working and I would have intermittent break lights or turn signals. Dusted off the one factory that was not broken, ordered this replacement and just went back to factory. No problems since. Simple is always best.

This light is not OEM/does not match the factory 2015 light. I have a 2015 Wrangler Unlimited, and the difference is VERY noticeable at night. There isn't a noticeable difference until the tail lights are turned on (can tell during the day if one is intentionally comparing the two). I will post a picture tonight, so as to demonstrate the original Left tail light v. this knockoff right tail light assembly.

I was able to live with this as the light did appear to function, albeit give off quite a different luminescence from the left oem tail light. However, I was advised today by the dealership that the reverse light does not function. I was in for a routine oil change, and they performed a factory inspection for the entire vehicle. I was further advised that they attempted to replace the bulb, but it appears to be a wiring/assembly issue. They are ordering a new assembly for me, and I will be returning this junk once it is replaced.

I would never have known that the reverse light does not operate, for obvious reasons. I strongly recommend anyone that has purchased this product to validate that the reverse light is functional.

It was easy to install and works, it's really all I wanted. The bonus is that it looks just like a Mopar part without the Mopar price. This would have cost me twice as much to order from the dealer.
I've come back to take the review from a 5 star to a 4 star review. It turns out the reverse bulb did not work in the new tail light, a minor technicality that was easily fixed, but all the bulbs should be in working in a brand new tail light.

looks like the OEM and bolts right up. When you turn on the lights the pair look different. This light is dimmer and the lens pattern is different than the original. By day it's fine at night they don't match. Still it's a good price, better than $160. from the factory. I guess I can live with it not matching at night.

Out of the box and onto the Jeep in less than 10 minutes!

This was a great OEM replacement. It was easy to install and matched the original tail light perfectly. It a shame that you can't simply replace a cracked lens on this light, but Chrysler bonds the lens to the housing so you have to replace the entire light-- what a waste for the consumer.

Which bulb is the tail light?

Tail lights are lights found at the rear of the vehicle that illuminate when the headlights are on. Just as the headlights make your vehicle visible to others on the opposite side of the road, the tail lights make your vehicle visible to cars behind you.
