All pediatric subspecialties are represented here, giving our Pediatric Residents exposure to all areas of Montefiore Einstein pediatrics. CHAM Inpatient Floors The sixth through ninth floors of CHAM are home to our medical and
surgical inpatient units. Here, residents play a key role on our hospital medicine and pediatric subspecialty teams, and learn to provide comprehensive family-centered pediatric care to our patients. Over the course of their second and third year training at the Moses Campus, senior residents develop team leadership skills, gain independence in clinical decision making and refine their teaching skills. CHAM Pediatric Emergency
Department The Pediatric Emergency Department at CHAM is dedicated to providing immediate care for sick and injured children. Here, our residents learn to assess and stabilize patients from infancy through adolescence while working side-by-side with fellowship-trained pediatric emergency medicine faculty. CHAM Pediatric Critical Care Unit CHAM’s 26-bed Pediatric Critical Care Unit (PCCU) provides care for critically
ill children of all ages. During second- and third-year rotations, CHAM residents care for medical, surgical and cardiac patients. Our multidisciplinary teams allow residents to learn alongside pediatric intensive care attendings, fellows, nurses, pharmacists, respiratory therapists and nutritionists. The residents are the heart of CHAM and inspire all of us to practice our best medicine. Their dedication to improving health outcomes for the children of the Bronx is a constant reminder that there is no other place I would want to practice or teach.
