Shared outlook calendar not updating in google calendar

If you have synced your Brightpod calendar with your Outlook, Google, or other calendar, it can take up to 24 hours to update.

Outlook, according to Microsoft Support, says that the calendar will sync a couple of times a day. If you want to force the calendar to update, you can try to remove the calendar and re-add it which has worked for some Brightpod customers in the past.

Google Calendar, on the other hand, does not have a definitive statement on how often the system will sync the calendar and forums suggest it can take up to 24 hours. Removing a Google Calendar sync and re-adding it will not force an update.

Unfortunately, the sync frequency is out of Brightpod’s control. If your calendar does not update after 24 hours, please get in touch with the Brightpod support team and we will help investigate.

With the caveat that I haven't used Outlook 365 calendar, here are a few idea that came to mind.

First up, the low tech way (if you only need to see the events yourself) could be to add Outlook calendar manually to your computer and phone's calendar app. That's guaranteed to sync, though of course wouldn't get everything in one place and in a web app.

Fruux came to mind, though not sure it'd fit. It's billed as a tool to sync all your calendars and contacts, like the second half of Outlook/Gmail sync but without email, to be used as a companion to email-only services like Fastmail. But didn't see anything about syncing Outlook 365, just Outlook desktop where it's turning local data into a web feed.

cloudHQ differentiates itself from Zapier et al by focusing on syncing, and it says it can sync Outlook Calendar to Google Calendar, so that could be worth checking.

With Zapier, you'd end up needing 3 Zaps to sync everything: A Google Calendar new or updated event to Outlook, then a new Outlook event to Google Calendar, and an updated Outlook event to Google Calendar. Possible, but a bit messy.

How to Fix iPhone Calendar Not Syncing with Outlook

If your encounter Outlook Calendar not syncing with iPhone, follow these guides to fix the problem:

1. Switch to Wi-Fi

If your iPhone uses a "cellular" connection, change it to Wi-Fi to properly sync Outlook Calendar.

2. Disable Airplane Mode

If you have airplane mode turned on, all your data will not sync properly because your iPhone will not be able to connect to the relevant online server. So, check that Airplane Mode is on, if it is, disable it, connect to a cellular or Wi-Fi signal, and wait a few minutes.

3. Turn off low power mode

Low power mode is activated when the iPhone's battery is low, which may be the reason why you're getting the iPhone Calendar not syncing with Outlook issue, so disable it.

4. Close all applications running in the background.

5. Restart your iPhone.

6. Update your Outlook Calendar app

Check for the latest Outlook application update and install it if available.

7. Make sure you are logged into the correct Outlook account

Go to Passwords and Accounts from the Settings menu. If not, click Add Account.

8. Check to make sure you are using the correct calendar in the iOS Calendar app.
