Turn off maintenance required light toyota corolla

Turn off maintenance required light toyota corolla

When you bring your Toyota Corolla into a trusted Chicago service center for maintenance, trained technicians will make sure any warning lights are dealt with before the vehicle is returned to you. However, if you perform certain necessary maintenance tasks at home, you may need to manually reset the maintenance light in your Toyota Corolla.

In all model years, you can reset your Corolla maintenance light using the trip reset button. However, new models make the process even easier by letting you use the color display! We've laid out both pathways step-by-step.

Our Service Center Schedule Service

Turn Off Maintenance Light: Toyota Corolla - Trip Reset Button

  1. Place your key in the ignition, and turn it to the "On" position. Don't start the car.
  2. Press and hold the trip reset button. "Trip A" should appear on the central screen.
  3. Once these words display, return the key to the "Off" position.
  4. While holding the trip reset button down, turn the key back to the "On" position.
  5. Keep the trip reset button pressed down until the "Miles" section of the odometer reads "0". Your maintenance light should turn right off.

If you don't have any luck the first time through, try repeating the steps. If your Corolla maintenance light still won't turn off, contact the experts at your local service center.

Turn Off Maintenance Light: Toyota Corolla - Color Display

In any Corolla model equipped with a multi-information display, you should be able to reset your light using the on-screen buttons. Here's the process from start to finish:

  1. Place the key in the ignition and turn it to the "On" position. Don't start the engine.
  2. If your Corolla has a push-button ignition, simply press the start button twice without holding down the brake.
  3. Your screen should turn on. Locate the "Cog/Gear" icon, and navigate to "Scheduled Maintenance."
  4. When you press this key, the screen will ask you to confirm your selection. If you say "OK," your Corolla maintenance light should turn right off!

Own more than one Toyota model? The process is nearly identical to reset the maintenance light on a Camry and other Toyota vehicles!
